Based on other reviews I ordered a size down to a 7 (normally an 8 in everything)and these are perfect! Even with thick comfy socks they fit spot on. I love that the shaft is tight around my calves, I cannot stand boots that aren’t fitted so again, perfect! Traction is awesome, made well and slightly heavy but not as heavy as others and definitely not so heavy you don’t want to bother with them. I'm 75 years old and my feet are always warm in the winter in these boots. I have mucked stalls in winter and shoveled snow, enjoying all of it the whole time because my feet are warm and I am not slipping at all. These boots have a great grip on them. This is my second pair of Muck Boots, same style. My last pair lasted 4 years. I put them on one day and one seemed very slippery on the bottom, so I looked at it. It was all cracked. Being afraid to fall and break my neck, I decided it was time for a new pair! I started looking online. I looked everywhere, including the Muck website. I fell in love with the burgundy tops (my original ones were just all black) but they were pretty pricey on the Muck website. Of course I found them here cheaper. When I first got them I thought oh god they’re too tight, but now that I’ve worn them, they’re perfect. If you have even a slightly larger than average calf, I would suggest trying these on in person to make sure they fit you the way you want. The boots these replaced were a women’s 9, so that’s what I ordered. They are definitely true to size. If you think you’ll wear heavier socks more often than not, you may want to size up. I’ve worn thick socks with mine as they are, and I’m comfortable in them. My one and only complaint is they are difficult to drive in, as they are heavy. If you have trouble with heavy shoes/footwear, these may not be the best option for you. I live in a very cold climate, with harsh winters, lots of snow/ice. I’m happy to have heavier boots due to where I live (Adirondack Mountains of New York State). They are incredibly warm and comfortable. Also, the tread is awesome- much better design than my old ones. I feel very safe walking in them, even in snow/ice. The sidewalks where I live aren’t always plowed when I walk my dog early in the morning. She’s a puller, so having boots with a solid tread is an absolute must so that I am stable. I didn’t realize how worn the bottoms of my old ones were until I got the new ones! These rock. Great seller too- boots were shipped and delivered quickly (they arrived sooner than I was expecting).     • They are really slip resitant and very warm
These are great boots,-- they really are slip resistant, very warm even for 30 below zero weather when worn with wool socks, comfortable and supportive, true to size. I love them and can take long walks in them safely! They were a gift from my husband, he has a pair of men's and really likes his, too. Well worth the price, you get what you pay for. I have worn them one full winter season; they still look brand new. I think they will last a long time. A special feature also is that while they have good traction, they don't seem to pick up as much dirt, mud, etc. as some other brands do. We even wear ours in our sheep barn among the animals--straw bedding and they really do not track much into the house. Sheep and goats are clean animals-manure is pelleted and gets buried in the bedding so the boots rarely touch it--I would not wear these in a cow barn though, they are too nice. ... show more

If you love the outdoors and you have your lady with you these definitely help from the ice fishing to the early spring mud. She said her feet got a little cold but that's was because we were on the ice for 8 hours but held up good and never leaked at all or anything and also fit like a charm and was easy to get them off and on once broken in! DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS!! sure they are waterproof but how does that help you when the heel tread starts coming off the second time you wear them.I even was taking them off by hand instead of stepping on the heel.I have had a 10 year old pair of chore muck boots that are still waterproof and the tread stays on them.I feel like my parents when I say this but it's true THEY DONT ME EM LIKE THE USED TO ... show more
