It may just be the condition of my topsoil where I live but I had an exceptionally difficult time driving these into the ground. Many of them dented quite a good deal and paint chipped off of them. Not sure how long until they start rusting like crazy. Felt like I did something wrong and it was my fault they dented so I just kept them and installed the dog fencing anyway. (The plastic fencing will work somewhat but I predict it won't last more than a couple years. My daughter will leave by then with her dog so no biggie here. It was a temporary fix for a temporary situation. Not sure what each person expects so I figured my personal experience may help gauge that for someone. ... show more

There was a slight bend to the posts when they arrived. Not sure if they were manufactured this way or if it happened in transit. I suspect the former.

We had a large muddy spot in our yard which we recently re-sodded, and we needed to keep our dogs out of the area. These posts are super easy to install - I recommend waiting until the ground is a little soft from rain or watering the yard. The t-bar makes them easy to push right into the ground with your feet - I did have to use a hammer to get some of them to go into the ground as far as I wanted them. A few of the brackets were stuck to the post by the paint coating, but easy enough to just pry away with a small screwdriver. I used this temporary fencing https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XZH4VYN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which I ended up zip tying at the top and bottom to secure them. The posts are probably designed for chicken wire-type fencing, which would probably be easier to secure. Altogether, a great solution for our problem, looks nice and professional, they don't leave giant holes in the yard like wooden stakes, and I didn't have to spend too much. Plus, they are made of a very sturdy metal and could definitely be reused for future projects. ... show more
