  • Super little tea pot. Short and stout.
Excellent kettle for backpacking. It’s a great size for solo camping. Wide enough to facilitate an efficient boil. Works great for cooking if your stove is great for simmering. Made oat meal with no issues. Lid fits securely. Only downside is the lack of noticeable graduation marks. Luckily as noted by others, the welding points seen from inside the pot line with up 1, 2, and 3 cup measurements. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Classic 850 ml Titanium Kettle/Pot/Mug
After years of ultralight hiking/camping I finally added one of these to my Snow Peak/ Toaks/ Tomshoo titanium collection. I see now why it’s a classic. I really like this pot. Just a great overall design. The subtle pour spout makes it a good teapot/ kettle and makes pouring less unpredictable. The 850 ml size is a good capacity for one person, and the wider, lower shape is easier to boil/stew/stir with than the taller narrower shapes of the Toaks 750 style cups, which I also have and use. BTW, my Toaks 500 ml cup nests inside this Titan pot just fine. This pot dents and bends easily, like all titanium, but also bends back into shape easily. The top is a good snug fit. Great design. Totally pleased. Like all camping cookware, the 850 ml capacity means filled to the brim to overflowing. For practicality, always deduct about 50-75 ml from stated specs. So, I’d say this 850 ml pot gives you 750-800 ml of useable cooking/boiling capacity on a stable cooking surface. Parting tip, you can easily remove the wire handles and reinsert them upside down which gives a better, more comfortable grip. I don’t know why Titan hasn’t reversed the handle design at the factory because it’s much more ergonomic. Great little pot/kettle/mug. Closest competitor is the Toaks 900 ml pot, which is also a great choice. ... show more

  • For those who have logged lots of trail miles will love this pot.
This cook pot is very light with plenty of room. I have bought, used and really liked many different backpacking cook pots over the years but this one seems to be the best for me yet. Cooking in and eating from this pot is easier. The MSR 13oz Titan cup fits inside with plenty of room for a stove and cleaning material. With out the cup nested inside, a large fuel canister will fit inside this pot. The only downside to the is pot is that I have yet to find a cup that nests inside that will accommodate a small fuel canister. They all tend to be too tall when the small fuel canisters fits. So if you plan to have a cup nested inside this pot, you need to be mentally prepared to carry your fuel tank outside of this pot. ... show more

  • Light and does the job.
I own the MSR Stainless Steel 1.1L pot that many of us are familiar with but with the 50's comes the need for a lighter backpack. I've cut weight for water purification and now cooking. This started with the triangular shaped Esbit stove and heating cubes. The MSR 1.1L material takes away too much heat to be feasible with a reasonable number of cubes. The Primus Titech 600ml did the job but the material coating the handles torched in just a handful of boils and has a loose lid. The MSR Titan Kettle has a tight lid, I was able to hold the handles after two cups of water came to a rolling boil (1.5 cubes needed), and it has a natural finish (no topcoat as far as my eyes could detect). The pot label can be slowly pulled off in one piece. There is no residue but appears to be a shadow which may come off in washings but it's for backpacking and makes no difference to me. I'd buy this pot again. The extra money was worth it over the Primus Titech. The MSR is larger and the right size to put the standard green plastic type of cup into. There is no bag with the pot. ... show more

  • Odd size
Great little pot. Only issue in my opinion is the size, it’s a little short and circumference a little to big. Short little fatty. I would have made it slightly narrower and a little taller. Better for containing 4oz gas canisters. Lid fits nice and snug and does not fall out when pouring liquids. The flange on the rim of the pot is a great feature for pouring and not spilling liquids everywhere. I’m happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • AMAZING Pot!!!
An update after owning for a year now. This is the pot for backpacking, don't bother looking elsewhere. Buy once cry once but you'll smile everytime after you have it in your hands! Cat food stove is my main fuel source, and i just don't the "handles are hot" reviews. They are warm sometimes but nothing i can't grab with my hands, at worst a bandana cures all. I started using this for weight just boiling water for meals thinking thats the way to save weight. This thing is GREAT for knorr rice/pasta dishes or similar walmart offerings as well as ramen. I simply add the food to the pot and check it about 3 minutes later to see if it needs stirred. I now have eliminated a bowl and don't require a long spoon/spork. Summer sausage or anything smoked is a great addition to rice/pasta...I also own stanley cookset, Gsi kettles, grease pot, Gsi dualist. This is FAR BEYOND any of those! Happy backpacking!!!! ... show more

  • I love this pot for backpacking
I love this pot for backpacking. There are lots of titanium pots available and I have several, but this is my favorite for shape, capacity, sturdiness, and the little pour spout that others lack. It holds my alcohol stove and stand, windscreen, lighter, etc., plus a couple packets of hot chocolate. The bottom is wide so it heats quickly. The lid is so tight it's a little hard to remove when checking on the pot, so I leave it a little askew so I can lift it easily when cooking. It does not have measurement marks so I was going to etch some on interior, but when I measured one and two cups into the pot I saw the rivets or bumps holding the handles were at the right height to use for measuring. I encourage other users to check this out. Mine did not come with a bag, but I made a light-weight one out of the netting used to hold limes. Recommend! ... show more
