I got this monitor to replace a 12 year old, 21" 1080p monitor I was using as a secondary for work. From that perspective, this is a massive upgrade in size, resolution, and color quality. I use it as a display for my steam deck when it is docked and it works well for that, but I have to keep the resolution down because the deck can't handle 2k for most games. Great price/performance

For the price, there ain't anything better. It's not the brightest but it's not dim, around 500nits peak brightness (way over the arvertised number) makes the HDR implementation just good enough. IPS means nice viewing angles, the backlight bleed is under control. 100hz is better than 60 but the difference is non-important for office use, as is the unimpressive response time. Color are great, it's a 10bit panel (8bits + FRC), the coverage of standard color spaces is pretty good, and the delta-E to sRGB is below noticeable levels. 1440p at this size is my minimum and it's good enough. For the build, a monitor arm will be necessary since the included stand is extremely barebones (no height adjustment, swivel or rotation). The joystick for the menu is great, and the borders are thin enough. The build is platic but solid, and the monitors use a typical anti-reflective coating that does its job. I'd say, besides high-end gaming monitors or 32'' 4K displays, this is the best the money can buy. I got 2 for web programming and use my laptop as a 3rd. I can have my text editors open in the main monitor, the real-time web preview in the second, and communications, a yt video, etc. on the laptop. Great experience. ... show more

Love MSI but it was DOA!

I love MSI but this monitor was DOA. Flashing red green blue white black. Online blogs said that it was in factory burn in mode but MSI support said that with this particular unit, it's something internal. The seal on the box did seem to have been previously opened.

Excellent Monitor but Iffy Compatibility for Older Systems

Fantastic value monitor. 100Hz is so much better than 60Hz, even for just web browsing. Picture quality and color is nice for the price. That said, this monitor is picky on compatibility - I've been working with computers for like 15 years now and NEVER had a monitor this finicky. It's fine on newer systems, but often if you connect an older system it just doesn't display anything. It will eventually work if you reboot the system enough times or reconnect it over and over again, but I think it's just not good at negotiating the refresh rate with older video chips. In theory, if a GPU only supports 60Hz, the monitor and GPU should auto-negotiate the 60Hz refresh rate, but this monitor doesn't seem to do that reliably. So, if you're using this on a newer computer, it's awesome. If you're using on something older, maybe look for something else? ... show more

Wow. Sooo good at the right price

Wow. So cheap—and sooo good. The frame is thin, color accuracy is excellent out of the box, brightness is perfect, and contrast is deep and rich. The eye-care features? Fantastic. I used to have an old 22" IPS LG monitor—it was literally killing my eyes. This one? A total pleasure to work on. My eyes feel rested, not strained. And the color reproduction? Very good. The product description says it has a glossy screen, but it doesn’t seem very glossy. Besides, since I have a light source behind me (in front of the screen), it’s not an issue at all. The resolution is ideal for productivity—now I finally understand why people say upgrading your monitor can be better than upgrading your whole computer. Excellent monitor. Excellent performance. Great display panel!

This is a simple monitor with a great display panel. I am surprised how good it is for the price. The stand is cheap but works and I'll be mounting it on an arm anyway. It has very good brightness and clarity for text and an anti-glare screen. I also played War Thunder in "movie mode" on it and it was stunning. 27 inch 1440P seems to be a sweet spot for a display. I'm downsizing from a very nice (and expensive) Dell 34 inch curved Ultra-Sharp that I've had for 6-7 years. I'm completely happy with this MSI monitor. I have it setup for development work and gaming and have ordered another to use with my Mac-mini. ... show more

Works great, is a very excellent budget monitor. Windows doesnt take it as 100hz, goes up to 99.95 hz. Has speakers that sound terrible but cant complain for the price. Works like any other monitor, basic and easy. Has good clarity and brightness. Does accept vesa mounting 100x100mm.
