This monitor has a beautiful and vivid picture. That combined with true HDR 1000, 240 Hz refresh rate, adaptive synch, and 0.03ms GtG response time, makes for a stellar monitor. The one big caveat is that this model does not have firmware updates. But since the performance is already 5 stars, it doesn't really need it. There are a few minor quirks with the OSD, but nothing that is a deal breaker. Since this model is hard to find and it's sibling mpg 321urx model is about impossible to find, combined with it being $300 cheaper than it's closest competitor, if you can find it - buy it. Also remember to only buy-ship from an authorized MSI seller, otherwise MSI may not honor the 3 year warranty, which includes burn in protection. ***UPDATE*** DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR or any OLED panels from MSI It has currently been 18 months since my purchase of this monitor. I have left all of the panel protection options enabled and have generally been very kind to this monitor. I have a little over 1000 hours of use on the monitor and a pixel has become stuck in the dead center of the screen. I contacted MSI to notify them of this as I am still within the warranty period and was notified that they will NOT honor an RMA claim regarding one stuck pixel, regardless of where it is. I'm a reasonable person, if the pixel was anywhere else on the screen I would count my losses and call it a day, but I feel like it is important to let others know in case they are unaware of this policy. Other manufacturers have much better and more forgiving policies when it comes to this exact scenario. MSI does not stand behind the quality of their product, if I could give less than a star, I would. I was on the fence about purchasing this monitor for a little over 2 months. If you're looking to upgrade to OLED from an IPS, this monitor is a fantastic choice. To sort a little confusion between the models, there is a URX123 and a UPX123, I purchased the UPX (cheaper) model. The only main differences that I can see are the LED backlights (which add ambient lighting behind the monitor) and additional USB-C and USB-A ports. Otherwise these models are identical spec wise and I believe that the UPX model may actually have lower power consumption. Contrary to what I read in the comments, MSI DOES allow this monitor to be firmware updated now. Most of the stock has been updated to the most current version of the firmware and mine did not need to be flashed to the new version and was fully updated upon receipt. The panel itself is easy enough to setup. If you're new to this, make sure you enable adaptive sync to get the full refresh rate active at 4k. My one and only complaint with this monitor is when using the VRR on some games with locked refresh rates, I have experienced some flickering with VRR on and had to turn it off to make it stop happening. I would also recommend a locking DP cable if you have articulating monitor arms, the port appears to be a little sensitive to the cable moving at all. The locking DP cable solved this issue for me. Best of the best. Even those who don't usually care for tech had nice things to say when I got it. Truly a game changer for gaming when it comes to gaming for both single and multiplayer games due to the great color and high refresh rate. I tried to test it out in store before purchase, and while I could tell the difference, it wasn't until I had one personally did I really see the drastic difference between my old 4k VA and this one. I would recommend adjusting the color a bit if you notice something's off. Supposedly these are not calibrated as nicely as the URX model and I personally had to drop the red a few points and it's all good - worth the savings in my opinion. I will also note that despite having VRR/G-sync off, I don't see any screen tearing - in case you're worrying about any potential vrr flicker. Glossy screen is worth it alone

Great monitor, the price is just another bonus. Got this on the Black Friday sale. I got this to compare to an LG 32” 4k dual mode w-oled that I got from Best Buy as I wanted to make sure if u was spending this much money I was getting what I wanted. The LG has the 480hz 1080p mode that I thought I would like but it’s way too pixelated for me to enjoy. So all that was left on that monitor for me was the w-oiled being brighter and the screen coating. When looking at a website with a static color background, especially grey and white you could see the matte screen coating and it would look like a film of oil like people were saying. I was worried this would bother me so I picked up this MSI. It’s cheaper, and I love the colors of it. The colors are definitely more punchy than the W-OLED when they are side by side but I doubt you’d notice a different unless they were next to each other. But the biggest thing for me is the glossy screen. Solid color websites don’t look like they have a fuzzy/oil film covering on them. They are nice and even. Add to that the 3 year burn in warranty, the punchy colors. This is definitely the monitor to get with it also being cheaper. ... show more

I waited to make a review on this monitor after id had and used it for awhile. Ive had it for about a year now and its been a great monitor so far, but even tho i followed the recommendations for it, it has developed some very annoying problems. As others have written about, i get flickering horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the screen, it happens when i start the pc and it will pop up randomly during use. Its incredibly annoying to deal with but so far hasn't caused any real problems. Other than that, it does not play well with my other monitor and constantly rearranges my desktop icons if i leave the other monitor on. So overall, it kinda works, but i would not recommend it for the price its at. ... show more

Spectacular color, and quality.

Monitor is expensive. But man the clarity and quality is unbelievable. I have this going to a NVIDIA 5090 GPU and its truly marvelous. 1 Thing to note is make sure you set the monitor on your computer to use 240hz. It natively tries to use 60hz unless you make the change.
