I bought this for a home-away-from-home kinda setup and have been really pleased with it! I can say, it's no IPS monitor, and the bottom bezel is a piece of plastic that sticks out about 0.25" ... which I find really weird because every other monitor I've used like this just had a thin piece of plastic down there. Weird. Still, the picture quality is great! The viewing angles are.. not the greatest. There's quite a bit of color shifting compared to the 34" IPS I'm used to at home. The UI on the monitor works well. The stand is very nice, although I'm curious why it has such skinny feet! Overall, I felt very pleased with this for the price, and since Amazon delivered it the next morning - when I needed it ASAP that was a life saver. I have seen some cheaper monitors since with the same size/resolution, they don't look as nice and don't have an adjustable stand... so I don't feel like I missed out. Very happy with this one!

Is a good entry level monitor, the 75HZ is very limiting and the picture quality is decent I would recommend to anyone on a tight budget or would be great 2nd or 3rd monitor

Working as expected. Perfect for budget 4k monitor. I have very diverse needs (business, photo, light video, medium gaming) so really nice that this monitor can handle all these reasonably. Took a bit of getting used to control on the back, but I actually like the joystick style now that I'm used to it. Could be a hassle if you have another monitor to the right of it. No dead pixels, no visible bleed. Solid color controls and options. Haven't really tested out HDR yet, so no opinions there yet. TLDR - exceeded my expectations for a budget 4k monitor.

UPDATE: I returned the first MSI G281UV UHD monitor regarding it's defect (Random Signal Loss - MSI Claimed This Was Rare) & started shopping for another monitor. I ordered this monitor again as apart from the defect I was satisfied AND the price had dropped a little lower ($249.99). Unfortunately, the same issue (Random Signal Loss) began and occurred even more frequently than the first monitor. Regardless of the frequency, I find this issue to be completely unacceptable on any monitor. This makes a total of 3 monitors (1 was a Dell) that I have received from Amazon with the same issue!!! I know the issue is not on my end as I have other monitors and even a TV that are all functioning well. It cannot be determined if the issue is caused by the manufacturers, Amazon or UPS so I will start shopping again and purchase a monitor from an in-store retailer. :( ORIGINAL: This is an entry entry level UHD monitor that of course has some pros and cons but I felt the pros overweighed the cons and was worth keeping.... Except for a defect :( It was a random Signal Loss where the screen would briefly go black as if the Display/HDMI cord was unplugged. This would occur every few minutes. I of course tested multiple cords and devices to confirm the issue was the monitor. I contacted MSI Support who simply claimed it was rare & suggested what I was already considering.... either exchange/return at Amazon. If I exchange I'll provide an update ;)

i thought all monitors came with speakers since i had 4 as a kid. all came with speakers so i just assumed this one did. well im gonna start a return process for this. the picture quality is godly good though.

Great monitor - limited inputs. If you need more than 1 HDMI port, try another monitor, but if you just need one HDMI and 1 Display Port - this is the one to get (on sale).
