This is a cute, budget-friendly tri-fold makeup mirror that just about anyone could use, but because of the plastic frame and lower price point, I think it would make an especially great gift for a pre-teen or younger girl who enjoys experimenting with beauty products. The mirror comes in three pieces: the main tri-fold mirror, a smaller detachable mirror with suction cups, and a base with a built-in storage tray. It was easy to put together, and all of the mirrors are clear with no noticeable distortion. The two smaller mirrors on the left side are magnified, with 2x on the top and 3x on the bottom. The round detachable mirror has 10x magnification, which is useful for more detailed work. The LED lights around the main mirror look pretty. I do think a younger user would especially enjoy them, but an adult may still want to use this in a well-lit room for best results. I have not personally tested all the angles, but the mirror is designed to rotate quite a bit, which is a nice feature. For power, you can use the included USB cable, though a wall adapter is not included, or you can use four AA batteries, which are also not included. I bought this mirror as a gift for my niece and I know that she will love it. It is such a beautiful mirror and I think it is quite appropriate for teenage girls who are into makeup. I love the brightness and it appears to be durable. My only issue is that I am not sure why it has a USB port for charging. I’ve had it plugged in for so long and it doesn’t work. Is there no internal battery? However, when I put regular batteries in instead of relying on the USB, it lights up and works fine. ... show more

    • Lightweight plastic but good mirror
The mirror is exactly as described. The plastic is lightweight but for this price point its to be expected, however, the mirrors are great. I love the variety of the magnification options. The light works perfectly. I travel home often and I find this the perfect size to leave at my parents house because finding a makeup mirror in a house full of people is very challenging, and for that reason, I love this because I can pack it up and move it wherever I need it. Only thing that would make this better would be if it was rechargeable instead of battery operated, finding a convenient place to plug it in can be a hassle. Also doesn't come with the plugger, only the wire. The suction cup mirror is great though because you can move it easily and take it with you if you don't have a compact. ... show more
