  • A Key Point in Training my Son and his Buddies for the Next Few years!
Size: 40ft*10ft*10ft
I recently ordered the MR 40FT Batting Cage for my backyard to help my kids and their teammates practice baseball and softball, and overall, it’s been a solid addition to our training setup. Here’s my take after setting it up and using it for a few weeks. 1.) Setup and Build Quality: The setup was surprisingly straightforward, taking about 30-40 minutes with two people. The elasticated 14mm fiberglass poles are sturdy and snap together easily, which made assembly a breeze compared to other cages I’ve tried. The 5-ply polyester net feels durable, and the oxford cloth seams seem well-constructed to handle hard hits. The frame, described as weatherproof and rust-resistant in some listings, has held up well so far, though I’d recommend securing it with the included heavy-duty ground pegs and guy ropes, especially in windy conditions. The sock pocket is a nice touch for pitching practice, catching balls cleanly without scattering them everywhere. 2.) Performance and Usability: This cage is spacious at 40ft long, 12ft wide, and 12ft high, giving plenty of room for both batting and pitching drills. My kids, ranging from Little League to high school players, have used it for both baseball and softball, and it suits all skill levels well. The net does a great job containing hits, and we’ve had no issues with balls breaking through. It’s been particularly helpful for improving batting accuracy, as the enclosed space lets them focus on form without chasing balls. The sock pocket also makes pitching practice more efficient, though I wish it had a slightly larger opening for younger players still working on aim.Pros: Easy to set up and take down, making it portable if needed. Durable materials that seem built to last, even with frequent use. Great for all ages and skill levels, from kids to adults. Complete package with everything you need (pegs, ropes, rods, netting). 3.) The sock pocket is a game-changer for pitching practice. At 60 pounds, it’s not super lightweight to move once assembled, so plan to keep it in one spot unless you have help. The sock pocket could be a bit larger for beginners. Value and Final Thoughts: At a $400.00 price point as of this writing, and Prices ranging from $149.00 to $972.00 this batting cage offers solid value compared to pricier alternatives which are heavier and more expensive. It’s a great choice for backyard training or small team practices, especially for families or coaches looking to level up their players’ skills. While it’s not perfect, it’s been reliable so far and has made practice sessions much more productive. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a versatile, freestanding batting cage, just double-check the pegs are secure to avoid any tipping in strong winds. Would I order it again? Yes, especially for the convenience and quality at this price point. ... show more

  • Great for Backyard Practice
Size: 40ft*10ft*10ft
After installation, you will have a small practice field in your backyard, equipped with sock bags and batting cage nets, which can catch the ball well, so you don't have to worry about the ball flying to the neighbor's house or breaking the glass. The frame design is relatively stable. Although it is independent, it has good support and can meet the needs of practicing batting and pitching. The size is large enough for adults and children to use, suitable for the whole family to practice together, especially for those who want to practice more but don't want to go to the court all the time. It is also very portable and can be disassembled for storage. ... show more

  • really like it; it needs some improvements
Size: 40ft*10ft*10ft
I used to love batting cages but due to some health issues can no longer do that activity. I had the bright idea to use this as a chicken run, but my wife had the better idea to try it on some of her garden where the deer keep eating the plants. We also use it to let the cat out. He loves going outside, but likes to wander and animals aren't supposed to do that in our neighborhood. It is nice and big! But one of the suggestions on the product page is using this for schools. It's a decent setup, but I think they should make it more durable and rugged for use at a school, or even a home. We're working on it, like replacing plastic stakes with heftier metal ones and trying to add some stability. We get gusty winds here, and I thought because of the mesh design it wouldn't have any trouble, but it can still blow down. It says 30-day easy returns; at this price it would be nice if the company made it easy to contact them (order is fulfilled by Amazon), like if you need to replace poles, stakes, a mending kit would be nice, etc. Overall I'd give it 3.5 stars. This is really making me want to do some batting. It's a really good size and would be great for practicing or just having fun. I wish we would have had something like this when I was growing up! Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful. ... show more

  • Perfect for batting or playing
Size: 40ft*10ft*10ft
Such an amazing 40 foot batting cage. This was so simple to install and it was very sturdy. Very strong and perfect for our games. My kids love it and it is so secure. I don’t have to worry about the ball going nowhere. It’s very easy to use very easy to play with and the netting is excellent. Does not let any bugs inside or any insect while playing inside. It is 40 foot so it is huge. It is a very good quality material as well and lightweight. Assembly was excellent and quality was perfect. It does need a lot of room as it is huge assembled. ... show more

  • Some pains at first but making it work
Size: 40ft*10ft*10ft
So far it has been ok The plastic stakes really don’t hold well and break. Upgraded to large metal ones The plastic clips break too easily so tied line directly to the holding straps through the hole. It works but with tweaks you have to spend some extra money on. It’s ok and gets the job done but it could be better quality and be easier to set up. It’s something you want to set up and take down after the season is over because it would not be easy to continually take down and easily put back up ... show more
