  • Great training tool for baseball and softball!!!
Well there are lots of pros with this large batting cage for baseball and softball and not any real cons that I can think of. The pros include the following: it is well designed and it seems to be manufactured to last for the long haul...With help from a few friends we got it assembled and set up in a little over an hour --- which wasn't really that bad for such a large piece of equipment...At 12 x 12 x 40 the cage is huge and is plenty big enough for our needs...My grandkids love the batting cage and they've been using it on a regular basis ever since it showed up at our doorstep...They all say that the extra practice has been helping their game...and the net has remained stable and taut during and after use. In my humble opinion this really nice batting cage for baseball and softball is more than a great value and it comes highly recommended from me! ... show more

  • Not the best
I wanted this for inside our pole barn. It doesn’t work well when you can’t stake it into the ground and was exceedingly difficult to get it to stand up.

  • Pretty good so
Managed to import one out here in New Zealand, although the box didn’t hold up so well. Pretty good quality, seems like — so far so good.

  • Sturdy Batting Cage That Keeps Practice Safe and Convenient
Sturdy Batting Cage That Keeps Practice Safe and Convenient I ordered this batting cage for my son and his friends to use for baseball practice, and it has been a great addition to our home setup. We had a large area available for assembly, which worked perfectly. One of my favorite features is that it keeps the baseballs contained, so we don’t have to worry about balls flying toward windows or getting lost in the woods. Assembly did take multiple people, but once it was set up, the cage felt very sturdy and has held up well with multiple teenagers using it regularly. It provides plenty of room for practicing hitting while making it much easier to collect balls afterward. This would be a great option for anyone looking to create a convenient practice area at home, and it could also be useful for practice on a field. Overall, it’s a sturdy and practical batting cage that has made baseball practice much easier and more enjoyable. ... show more

  • Buyer Beware........unstable. LOTS of work.
save your money - I've gotten this thing up 5x, and each and every time it comes down in a mild rain storm. I've got 2-3x stakes/ropes on each frame, and it still comes down. The instructions are atrocious. I also had to order more parts to get it up - stakes and additional rope. This thing has been a head-ache since day-one. Don't get me wrong - its cool when its up, which is only for 2-3 days at most. ... show more

  • Great Setup
This MR 40FT freestanding batting cage looks like a serious backyard training setup for baseball or softball players who want real practice space at home. The 40-by-12-by-12-foot size, all-around netting, and fiberglass frame give it a substantial feel, and the sock pocket adds a useful touch for pitching machines or target practice. It seems especially appealing if you have the room and want something more durable than a small pop-up net. The reviews are mixed, but the stronger feedback points to solid construction and good containment, while the main drawback is that setup sounds like a project and stability depends a lot on staking it down properly. ... show more

  • 40-Foot Cage Delivers Real Practice Space With Solid Construction
Finding a full-sized batting cage that holds up to serious use without requiring a permanent structure is harder than it sounds, and this 40-foot setup from MR genuinely delivers. At 40 feet long by 12 feet wide and 12 feet tall, hitters have plenty of room to work through a full swing without feeling cramped, and the space works equally well for pitching practice. The polyester mesh and oxford cloth seams feel reinforced at the stress points, which matters when you are putting hard contact on the net repeatedly. The 14mm fiberglass rods provide a sturdy frame, and the included ground piles do their job of keeping everything planted. The versatility is a real bonus too, since baseball, softball, and even golf practice all work within the same cage. The recommendation to use it on grass for maximum stability is practical advice worth heeding. For backyard training or a school facility that needs portable, freestanding equipment without permanent installation, this cage covers the basics extremely well. The lifetime warranty adds meaningful confidence to what is already a well-thought-out product. ... show more

  • Don’t buy
Very Poor quality horrible batting cage. Plastic hooks for tie downs all broke within the first couple weeks of being setup and my son was hitting holes through the net after a couple months. Actually broke a neighbor’s window because of this.
