If you are just trying to play this off your home stereo system it will not work. This isn't just a plug the AC cord in style for lights. This will sink to your music and it must be plugged into this. Everything works well and this is sound activated. Very pleased.

With the three turning and the base moving as well the action and motion it provides to the party is awesome. It does give wherever it set up a party vibe like no other. Going every which way and doing so with the beat of the music makes it the epic center of the night. It’s well made with quality parts and the pieces and parts all fit together well and gaps and seams are straight and consistent. It has two carry handles to be sure it’s not grabbed by the moving head parts that are very sensitive to being heavy handed and possibly breaking the unit. The internal fan is fairly quiet but with music playing it can’t be heard at all anyway. And the rotating heads are barely audible too. It has presets that can be setup but we mostly use the music to activate its full potential. I’m satisfied with the quality of the light beam DJ party all night light and it’s tireless twelve hour shift that it just did. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Versatile RGB spider light with DMX input and output via 3-pin XLR connections on the rear of the unit. Unit can be used without DMX programming via selection of pre-programmed and built-in functions which are clearly detailed and explained in the instruction manual. There is no remote with this unit, so selection is done using the buttons on the back: up, down, menu, enter. Each of the three spider light heads can have tilt individually adjusted, or you can simply set them on auto. Same goes for color. Sound activated animation is included in the built-in functions that you can choose from. The unit is made entirely from aluminum, with quality construction that is above that usually seen in this price range. There is a built-in fan but its surprisingly quiet even while the unit is spinning and moving all around. The build features two handles on each side which make it easy to carry. The bottom has rubber nubs to protect the surface you choose to place it on. The option for wall or ceiling mounting is available thanks to the included brackets. BOTTOM LINE: Well priced DMX stage light unit that can throw a lot of light in many directions, and would easily suffice as an all in one unit when placed on the ceiling in a small bar or room. ... show more

This is a well made light. There are quite a few metal parts and the unit does have a bit of weight to it. There is a handle to make carrying it easy. I used it in the sound activated mode. It responded nicely to music and it made sense what it was doing. The lights are bright and colorful and it really puts on a great display. I am happy I found this in such a compact unit.     • I think I got a defective unit
The media could not be loaded. The unit turns on and spins up. However whenever I follow the instructions and try to set the unit to sound mode and auto, nothing happens. I tried multiple times to no avail. I tried both separate lines of instruction and neither one turned the unit on. I don't own a DMX controller so don't have a way to access the unit from a controller. However I just wanted this to use to be activated by sound, which it does not do. ... show more
