The Mount It! Baker's Rack is a wonderful idea and would be a great product if you could properly put it together. I started running into spots where the holes were the wrong shapes or bent, it just wouldn't properly go together. I got the bottom half together and I'm using it to sit plants on, so it wasn't a complete waste. It would otherwise be a nice baker's rack if I could have properly assembled it. ... show more

    • Petit bakers rack, great size but bent support hole messes it up
I really like the size of this, I would have given more stars, but on of the shelves had a hole bent that you put the support pole through so I couldn’t use it. It makes it much weaker structurally without that shelf so I am very hesitant to use this as I planned, when I put weigh on the board part, it actually leans a little. The package came unscathed, so that means they put it in the box with this flaw that ruins the piece. ... show more

For reference in my photos, it comes with adjustable feet, but I added my own casters for portability. This is easy to assemble but takes a little time getting the shelves and hook bar adjusted where you want, so expect roughly 30 minutes to do it. Once you thread the legs together you place plastic clips over the legs starting with the bottom shelf, slide the legs through the shelf corners, wedge the shelf on the plastic clips, then repeat. Most of us have seen this style shelving in restaurants and stores, this is very similar but the legs and wire used for the shelves are thinner, definitely for home use. The wire shelves can bare alot of weight, but if you have a heavy object with a small footprint in the middle of a shelf, it will bow down. So the weight capacity is if you were to have weight evenly distributed across the outer edges. This has a smooth bright shiny chrome finish, which wipes down easily. The removable tabletop is MDF, has a low textured wood look on all sides. The corners are cut away to accommodate the legs and are not laminated, so care should be taken to not let moisture in those areas, or you could use some sealer on them. The adjustable feet have roughly 1" adjustability while leaving enough threads seated in the legs. This means it can sit on pretty uneven floors or ground and still be stable. I wouldn't have minded if it came with casters, but knew it didn't before I ordered it and ordered some. My plan was to use it as our coffee/ popcorn and small appliance station, I ended up using it as a packaging and drop area near my front door. It's pretty versitle and could be used for anything.     • Surprisingly Sturdy
If you've never assembled this style of shelf before, you're in for a treat. There are no tools required. All you need is your hands and about half an hour or less. You'll be snapping connectors together along the legs and sliding your shelves on as you go. Start from the bottom and work your way up. If you need a little help, check out the picture online as the instructions won't be very useful. Mine went together smoothly with no hiccups, although I never could get the top to lay flat in one corner. Once I put all my things on it, the weight fixed that, so I let that slide. I'm using it in a break room for an ice machine and a Keurig, as well as storing other stuff like extra cups and plates. I wish it had been a little bigger for my purposes, but I'm pushing it to the limit so I can't complain. It's surprisingly sturdy for what it is. The top has a nice finish on it and even though it has a basic look, it could be dressed up to look fine in a kitchen as well. Just note, this is a LIGHTWEIGHT baker's rack. The shelves aren't strong enough for any large amounts of weight from say cases of water or sodas. I would avoid putting anything heavy on the bottom shelves as it will almost certainly bow and cause structural issues. Considering the price, that's about right. This bakers rack goes together like all the rest: Two plastic wedges in each corner hold the shelf in place. The instructions are a bit off so I just looked at the photos on the product page. The assembled rack is nice. It's sturdy once you level the legs. The wood top is just a laminated slab of high density fiberboard with the corners cut out to fit on the wire shelf. It's Ok and cleans easily. By itself this unit is OK but provides a base for adding on. I put a peg board backing from the bench up to keep things from falling behind the shelf. This is the third rack I have that has the same building components, the other two I bought just have 5 racks and sit in my garage, no pretty baker's counter top or partial shelf up top. I like this system, it's solid, sturdy, and easy to adjust the shelves to the height you want. Assembly is very easy and quick. At the time I'm writing this, my only concern is the price. Since I've previously purchased very similar items to this, I suspect that if this is still listed at the same price as I'm seeing, you might be able to get a better deal, so just keep that in mind. If this is currently a competitive price, then I completely recommend it. I do think this is a great rack and I'm very happy with it.
