  • What You Get for $11.98
Color: Gray
The media could not be loaded. For the price, this Karaoke Microphone delivers and then some. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I tried it out through my PA system and sang along with a few songs and yeah, this is no high-performance mic, but it does deliver a solid vocal. With no eq or effects it's a bit on the bassy side and has that "singing-in-a-can" quality which is most noticeable when used without accompanying music. But it isn't designed for that use. A touch of eq and reverb and there you are singing along with the best of them. I even tried it out as an amp mic playing guitar and hey, it gave a surprisingly workman-like performance. ... show more

  • Very well made!
Color: Silver
[I’m weekend warrior gigging musician of over 35 years.] I bought this microphone primarily for home use and the recording of vocals -you can never have enough mics! The microphone is well-built and has a good heft to it. The silver color has a nice retro look to it and there is a convenient switch to turn it on and off as well. The switch does feel a little floppy. It comes with a fairly long good, average solder connections, and a foam screen for the mic. The response is pretty good for this cardioid pattern mic. I would surmise it is to align with the popular “58” model of another maker. So the sound is there, but I have no way to quantify durability. Naturally if you take care of something, it should last a decent amount of time. I will use this for micing guitar/bass amps, gigging, and home recording. I’m not a singer at the performing level, but I can see this used with karaoke, smaller live performances, as a backup, in addition to home recording, internet/podcast. There is always a use for schools, businesses, etc. Based on this quality, I will also be looking at Moukey for gear in the future. ... show more

  • Doesn’t work - User Error?
Color: Gray
I just purchased this microphone to make announcements through our amp using RCA red and white connectors. The microphone doesn’t work. It doesn’t seem to have a place for batteries, so I’m assuming it somehow gets power through the RCA cables. Anyway, probably user error. Update: It works fine on one of my Bluetooth speakers using the Aux input. Must be my amplifier is not designed to power microphone. ... show more

  • This microphone is solid, and a great value for the money!
Color: Silver
The media could not be loaded. This microphone has a very flat frequency response, +/- 3db from about 85 Hz to above 10 kHz. I didn't find any distortion or undue emphasis throughout the vocal range. Very directional, as you can hear in the video (be sure to use good headphones to hear the effect!). It is shiny, and solid. Metal all the way around, and treated on the body of the microphone to resist corrosion from hand oils, etc. Looks good and feels good! The magnetic switch is a nice touch. Silent switching between OFF and ON. It comes with a wind screen to cut out wind or strong breathing from interfering with the sound pickup. The low-noise, detachable cable has a very generous 16' length. The 1/4" phone plug even has a gold-plated tip to ensure a good signal connection. Why wouldn't you buy this? ... show more

  • It's no sm58... but it still sounds great!
Color: Metallic
To give you an idea on where I stand, I run sound for a 7 piece top 40 band as well as performing ceremonies and DJing events. I mostly work with wireless systems (shure slx, glxd, pgxd and qlxd's) all sporting sm58's, b58's and b87a's. I needed a cheap backup mic with an on/off switch that if i lost it or it suddenly/violently found the floor... i wouldn't bat an eye about it. Here is where it stands: -Sound quality is fairly warm -metal housing feels well constructed -weight is par (not too heavy or too light) - it isn't noisy, nor does it need extra added attention to EQ'ing (its hi-mid is pretty well defining) - with 'minimum' Eq'ing, feedback is nearly non existant. -Overall its sensitivity and responsiveness is between a Shure pg58 and the sm58 -the low end IS a tad "WUMM"-ppy, but easily corrected with standard vocal EQ'ing/ high pass filter setting. -the magnetic switch is probably the only thing im not crazy about. Mostly due to the slightly audible "tut" sound it makes when engaging. It is more of a mechanical sound from the switch dropping into position than anything(could be softer). I have been playing with it to help "break it in" so that its smoother on and off. It actually helped and now it isnt as noticable as it was the first few gigs. I've used it over a dozen gigs, thus far(not too much for leads- mostly backups). I have to say, if it ever needs to be replaced or i needed another, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. If you are in the market for a decent wired mic for the $20 ballpark range, i highly reccomend it. ... show more

  • When MCs on the mic whatcha gonna do? Go AWOL
Color: Gray
Not sure what “sheerness” is but let’s give it a five. We used these microphones at an outdoor venue with about 60 people socially distances (2020) so they were pretty spread out. We used our karaoke machine on high volume as an outdoor PA system. It works very well. I was tempted to start belting out some air supply hits but with social distancing and all I was afraid people would miss the stage from so far away when tossing their bras at me. ... show more

  • Needs an Amplifier
Color: Gray
Bought this for my niece's electric piano that has a 3.5mm input for a mic and no amp. The volume was too low. Tried on her karaoke which has an amp and it worked fine. Don't buy this if what ever you going to use it on does not amplify the sound. The need for an amp should be stressed in the description especially at this price point $10 where it might be used as a kid's mic. ... show more
