I don't do product reviews often--good or bad. In fact: Usually only when a product is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad :). This tamper falls in the former category, being an exceptionally nice product of exceptionally fine craftsmanship. I'm using it with the 54mm portafilter in my Breville the Bambino Plus. Works beautifully, feels great in the hand, and looks very sharp, too. Could I have saved a buck or two with a more economical tamper that would probably do the job of tamping just as well? Maybe so, but I'm a man who appreciates craftsmanship, and this tamper is a very well-crafted tool. Love it! ... show more

This is a gorgeous tool, and I got the little matching base... they sit atop my OLD, manual Starbucks Barista machine (from Saeco). Its a perfect for for the portafilter, and my shots have pulled with exceptional consistency since i started using this. It's more expensive simply because its made in Italy, and I will always go for EU or US quality control when available. ... show more

This one feels great on hand and more than 350% in weight than Breville tamper and this make tamping effortless and changed the game. Espresso are at different level now.
