I elected to use this 25% tinted film on the windows in my house. Why? Because the east-facing windows (double-pane insulated glass) produced a good deal of morning sunlight and heat in the summer months. As the sun set in the evening, the west-facing windows did the same. After researching various films, I elected to use this automotive carbon film because of its claim to reduce heat and 99% of UV rays. That would help prevent interior sunburn, result in somewhat lower utility bills, and would also help me do my part to save the planet. Primarily, I was just thinking about keeping the glare out through the film's reflective barrier. But then I realized the film would also reflect the heat back INTO the house during the heating season, as well as keeping it out during summer months. To me, this was a true no-brainer. After I installed the film on the east and west windows, I liked the way the light in the rooms looked so much that I elected to add the film to all of the windows in the house. Now I have an element of privacy during the day (due to the tint), a really nice interior look and feel due to the filtered light, and an element of heat reflection in both directions in tune with the seasons. This was well worth the investment of my time and the cost of this material. Installation Tip: I found it very useful to use a very small and stiff squeegee. I actually used a squeegee so small that it's primary use is for cell phone protective coverings. I cut each panel to be a little larger than the window glass and worked from the center outward to each edge of the glass. I then used a razor blade to trim along the edges of the glass. After a window or two, you'll be a certified DIYer who will be totally gratified every time you look out of the window. And for the record ... I have nothing to do with MotoShield whatsoever. I'm just a very pragmatic guy who really likes this product for its unintended use.

We used this on a few sun-facing windows on our house. It was easy to install- once i was able to peel the backing off- just wet the window and sticky side with soapy water and squeegee out any bubbles/excess . You can definitely feel the difference the tint makes. It does make the room a tiny bit darker- as expected- but worth it as we can now use the room without breaking into a sweat. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again when we move.

Very good and easy product to use, I had to remove the rubber trim this time and the 2 window install time about one hour. No bubble I did an almost perfect job, super happy for the price, the shop was going to charge me $300.

I'm a certified tint installer, I used this material to practice with because it's very inexpensive. But, I wouldn't buy it to use if I were to install it on a customer's vehicle. It's too hard to work with and it's cheap film. Even the roll I got made it very hard to even pull out of the packaging without it creasing. If you are a diy'er and want to try it, this isn't a bad product, just very hard to work with.

They packed the roll all screwed up. Was unwind at both ends because they didn’t taped it. Has some discoloration, creases and imperfections on film. This film is not 25% as advertised. It’s more like 35%. Here’s compared to 3M. Shrinks ok. Is kind of forgiving if you have to take it off and reinstall. This would be a $60-85 roll. Not $130 like I paid. You could get better film at that price. Took a week to get home. If you want to waste $100 practicing, then this is for you. If you want to use it to do other peoples’ cars, STAY AWAY from it. Haven’t tested the heat repellent yet. Will update.

I am satisfied of this product. DIY save more. But my heat gun was not good as the video. So my one Is not perfect. Still have to pay some fee to learning ( wasting some film). And you need a space out of dust and wind will be a lot helpful when applying the film. Now my car is cooling down 50% when parking direct to the sun.
