Amazing buy for a helmet

I challenge you to find a more feature-filled helmet for the money. I wish you a lot of luck in doing it. So far I have had this helmet on (the matte black variety) for over 2,300 miles of riding, so I have a good idea of how it performs. I will provide both the bad and the good, with the list of bad first because it is extremely short. The Bad: The optics fog up easily. Be prepared to crack the visor slightly at stop lights to allow for a little air to keep it fog-free. Closing the air vents does not completely prevent air from entering the helmet. This can lead to a cold head in the late fall. The chin curtain could be slightly lower to assist on colder days. The Good: The drop-down sun visor. It operates smoothly. It is a perfect tint level so as to not interfere with your vision. It stays put when it needs to. The optics are clear, even though as mentioned in the bad that they fog easily. Surface is easy to clean with a soft microfiber towel. The vents provide plenty of air, and are not overly noisy even 50+ mph. The fit and finish are excellent. Visor closes with a click and opens easily. Surface is smooth has a quality appearance and feel. The inside liner is snug but does not smash your face (as long as you size correctly). The liner snaps in place and is easy to remove and re-insert. It is very comfortable, even on rides exceeding an hour or more. I can't say enough about this helmet. Go search on helmets with this same feature set, especially a sun-visor that either drops down or is integrated into the face shield, and you will see helmets 3-4, and even 5 times more expensive than this one. At 3.7 pounds, even helmets in the $350-400 range aren't any lighter. This is a DOT-rated helmet. Always make sure whatever you buy is DOT approved and has that certification on the inside liner; not just an external sticker. This is a great buy and I will buy again from Yema. Here's hoping they provide more designs and maybe some fog-free upgrades. ... show more

I've had the helmet for a bit over a month now & have been using it & so far so good. The helmet fits good, isn't too noisy at highway speeds, Also it has the quick release chin strap which I prefer compared to that O-ring version that many other helmets have which I do not like. The lever on the left side of the helmet that flips the visor up & down is placed a little bit higher on the helmet that another modular helmet I had before but its taking time to get used to & the button to lift up the modular part is a bit hard to push with the chin strap on but I'm adjusting to it. when the tinted visor is down it can touch the bridge of my nose but I just make a slight adjustment on the helmet but overall the view out of the helmet with the tinted visor up or down is good. the helmet feels sturdy overall. Inside the helmet are 2 spots where you can put in bluetooth speakers for connectivity which I did without problems. The inside padding comes out very easily & put back in. I don't know about the scratch resistence seeing I have not dropped the helmet & I can't speak on the protection level because that would mean I took a fall to test that which I hope to avoid. overall 4 stars, I would have given it 5 but i do notice when the clear shield is down that it does fog up on the inside wtith just basic breathing & its not like I am riding when there is condensation outside where you'd see that happening more profoundly ... show more

Decent, versatile, and durable.

If you're reading this, then chances are you are not wanting to spend $300+ on a helmet. I can't understand why people purchase this helmet then give it a low rating because they compare it to a more expensive $300+ helmet. Good grief! This is a very decent, versatile helmet with a lot of cool features. I'm a daily commuter and have put this helmet through varying "daily use" conditions:. Hot sun, wind, highway speeds, rain, rain, and more rain. The helmet has worked great with absolutely no issues. The visor is tough and doesn't flip up in the wind when partially opened. The sun shade is awesome, easy to use, and adds another protective dimension to open face riding. The vents are adequate and have kept my head cool and dry. The cushioning is plush and very comfortable. Everyone who looks and handles the helmet asks if I spent a fortune on it. When I tell them it's less than $100 bucks, they don't believe me! Anyway, if you're looking for a good $100 helmet with a lot of features, then this is probably it. I plan to buy another one (or two) of these as a passenger helmets. The only "wish" comment that I'll make is that I hope they come out with a chrome finished version. ... show more

🤔Great features on the cheap/ runs small😎

For a cheaper helmet I can't complain. I've only tested this with one ride. The helmet Is stylish, the front defogging vent works well, for I rode on a 45f spring afternoon and would only fog the clear visor when stopped. But once moving again it would clear right up. Considering my other cheap full faces would fog even while moving. The Double visor is a nice feature to block out te sun considering I do where glasses/contacts. And I have tired the sun visor with glasses on and it clears them. The top vents breath well also, so well that I ended up closing them while riding because my head was getting cold. Now again this was on a cool spring day. So far no con's with the little time I've owned it. Heck, once again, it's a cheap helmet and alot of bang for your buck. Also Comes with a string back pack that the helmet came in. One last thing, I have a small head and I am 6'1" & weigh 160lbs at 33yrs of age. So bought a medium size judging by other people reviews saying they run small and it fits perfect, snug but not too snug. ... show more

Vents seem useless. Visor will close with any gust of wind. Other than that it seems okay.

I wore this on a 5000 mile trip through ten states and Canada. The connector to strap the helmet under your chin is great. I can both connect and disconnect with bulky gloves. The helmet is slightly too big for me (It's a medium), but I was able to wear it the entire ride without getting pain spots on the top of my head. Unfortunately my return window closed so I can't get a different size. Vents seem useless. I tried with open and closed and I was unable to notice a difference. There were times where the lid didn't seem to want to close properly. You'd snap it down and it's like the connection point gets out of alignment. The most annoying part for me was that when you have the helmet lid closed, but the visor up, it will close with any gust of wind. I found myself riding with the lid up instead and I'd prefer to have the minor protection when it's closed. So basically, any time you're on the highway and start coming up on as truck, the visor will close due to wind buffeting. It sounds like it's not a big deal, but it's DAMNED annoying. I'm going to have to rig a way to have a snap or velcro just to keep it up with minor wind. Other than that the helmet seems great! ... show more

I was a bit uneasy about ordering this helmet after reading the reviews about the visor screws coming loose. But I have to say I'm in love with this helmet! Super comfortable and I love how the linings come out. That made installing my speakers so easy, which reminds me, I was very happy to see speaker pockets already in the helmet. This is my first modular helmet so there was a learning curve getting it on and off. Love the drop down sun visor. But beware helmet does fog so I leave my visor cracked until I can get airflow into the vents. ... show more

Title; however, you're GONNA want to clean/spray this thing out after *every* use unless you brush your teeth immediately before getting into it or wear a layer under it. Also, the optics do fog pretty easily but as long as you can get wind in your favor and/or 30 mph, you're fine. If you can't do that, you likely don't need the full-face aspect anyway, so not a huge deal. ... show more
