After finally deciding to replace my old HJC SyMax II helmet I really did a lot of searching. I wanted something that was going to be as good but without having to spend $250 to get it. That's when I happened upon this. I don't have a lot of time to write this review so I'll just state that I love this helmet. It has all the benefits of my old helmet and no bigger drawbacks than what I was already used to. There's even a couple of extras that I can't say I don't appreciate (like the chin flap to keep cold wind from blowing up so much from underneath and the quick release chin strap...though I did drop my helmet once because of it so be careful). The noise is about the same as my old helmet, and it's not much lighter. I appreciate the matte finish rather than the shiny one which is just a personal preference. All in all, for the price this is some serious bang for the buck. I feel safe, well, except for all those jerks on the road TRYING to kill me, and I recommend it for anyone who wants a simple, effective helmet for the price. ... show more

Edit: got a replacement and came in good condition compared to the first one. Also the face shield lining or whatever does have a little bit of bubbles in it but not where it would obstruct my vision. I'll update again once I finally get to use it. Although it is a nice helmet and fit me perfectly. Nice designed helmet for the price. Upon opening and inspecting it I've noticed a few things. One was the vent on the left side on tip was damaged with some cracks on it. Also the top right of the face shield seemed like the layer on it wasn't fully sealed on or something. Also on top of that I noticed little hairs where the shield snaps on and wasn't sure about the inside of the helmet. Which left me grossed out. Due to this reasons I'm going to request a refund and go find me a helmet at my local bike shop when I'm able to. ... show more

    • Priced Right - Sizing Not Accurate, Noisy and Visor Screws Backed Out

So these helmets are priced right and look good but they are obviously not the quality of other helmets. They are sized small. I had to get an XXL and my wife had to get a large. Secondly, the screws for the visor are constantly working their way out after about 10 uses. We also have found them noisier than other helmets. ... show more

All the functions of a modular helmet work good except the vent switch on top works it way open just enough to create a whistle. Very Annoying. This is not a quite helmet nor a light one, but I still use it when I know I’ll be riding the pavement on my adventure bike. It is comfortable and great for those who wear eyeglasses. The plastic seems cheap which has me wondering how good the protection will be. For the price I would say it’s ok, but if you have a higher budget you might want to seek a higher quality helmet ... show more

I took my three day motorcycle course over the weekend and wore the helmet for several hours every day. It was very comfortable and light weight. Visibility was great and I love the sleek look. However, I’m removing a star because I had to buy three of these before getting one that wasn’t damaged. The first two helmets I purchased, the visors were cracked so I had to return them. The helmet didn’t come packed securely. Just in a black bag inside the box. No foam or protective buffer the keep the helmet from getting damaged during shipping. Got mine an hour ago, so my measurement was 58cm exactly (which means L) but i ordered XL 61-62cm and it fits perfectly even with the Bluetooth attachment installed, so as per my experience only order the next bigger size after measurement (again as per my experience only). Furthermore, the vents feel loose and cheap when operated and the finishes on them are rigged and not careful in places, looks shoddy. Am not so sure about the quality of the switch(the red button) to flip the tinted visor. The tinted visor leaves a bit of the sides open(very negligible) but seems sufficient. This review will be edited in the coming days after road testing for the following:- 1.Comfort 2.Noise( I don't have a windshield on my CBX750) 3.ventilation. To much vibration, screws backed out of visor, had to fix. Plus with all the vibration my 👃 was itching like somebody was talking bout me.u get what u pay for on this one. I will be buying a different one ASAP!
