I can't speak for how well it protects you in a spill because I haven't gone down yet. But it is pretty lightweight and comfortable, and it feels of good quality. It's 45F here, and I only needed a T-shirt and this jacket and I felt perfectly fine riding. I wasn't cold or chilly at all. It runs true to size. I wear a 2X and it fits perfect. And it has adjustable straps on each side of the waist area to make it snugger if you wish. There's also a dedicated pocket to store your cellphone on the inside of the jacket. I am 6-02 on a good day and about 205. I bought an XL and it fits very well, with both body and sleeves good and long. I like the extended hem in the rear, which covers the gap between pants and jacket when riding. The jacket looks sharper in person than in the photos, a nice surprise. I immediately sprayed it with a good coat of ScotchGard, to help with bug stains and waterproofing. I observed good stitching throughout and no loose threads. While it has typical CE-1 armor, I cannot complain. I am not sure of the jacket's water resistance, but the double flap main zipper does its part. The jacket pockets are made of waterproof material. It is currently a little too cold to test the venting, but from their location, they should do a good job. My impression is that the jacket would be a little warm in summer, so take that into account. The neck closes with velcro, so you can adjust the tightness according with your layering. Velcro on the cuffs can easily be adjusted to go over or under gloves, depending on glove type. I would like to see more adjustment on the upper arm velcro, but it is sufficient as is. The reflective trim is bright and the colors pop, which is exactly what I wanted. The zippers have pulls on them so that even a gloved hand can open or close them. This is a substantial jacket and, while I have not weighed it, it has a feeling of substance to it. The liner is a full-sleeve and has color coded attachments at the cuffs, which is a really nice feature to avoid twisted liner sleeves when installing the liner. The liner makes a substantial difference in warmth when zipped in. While there are small things I would like to see changed, some of it is my taste. Bottom line: this is a really good overall jacket and has the visibility features which might just prevent a collision. ... show more

Love it. Great material. Great visibility. Great price. Love the zipper vents for warmer days. I bought a larger size for layers underneath since I ride more in cooler temps.

Bought four jackets in past couple of weeks at bargain basement prices. The Panda was the first one ordered and ended up being the best of the ones purchased. Of the four, two had removable liners but all claimed suitable for hot and cold weather. The Panda had a very high-quality zipper (large course teeth) on the CORRECT side for men's apparel. None of the jackets were advertised as "women", but two had the zippers on the left side. The Panda had four intake vents with a large on centered in the back below the neckline. It also has two zippered front pockets, and internal pockets for cell phone, keys, etc. Measured chest, followed size chart and found to be accurate. Appears well made and believe the stitching and material will survive at least five years of occasional use. ... show more

The best budget jacket I found ! Nice quality very comfortable and durable, really warm and vented I think that is comparable with other brands I own and I really recommend it. Also I I have and pants from the same brand and really love it !
