I like that the shape of this style allows for a foot rest without having to buy highway pegs. I don't really like how it looks as much though. The black looks good. Installation was easy. It's more expensive than some comparable ones.

I was unsure of how I would like the look of this over how my Harley OEM engine guard looks. That and the fact that I would have to say goodbye to my highway pegs had me on the fence. Then I installed the back version of this, the one that mounts right in front of the saddlebags. After installing this and have it match the back one, it does make my Road King look amazing. I don't know how it FEELS safer too, but it does. I also do not miss my highway pegs because now, I just rest my feet on the upper portion of the crash bar.
