It’s definitely not as protective as I expected. The plastic is thin and so is the “padding”. It will protect against bugs and small stones while riding but don’t expect it to do ANYTHING on a slide! I returned it because I got it for low speed protection but it’s not up to that task.

Got the death wobbles on my Honda rebel 250 in the expressway at 70mph. Reduced my velocity to 50mph, landed with my vest and leather jacket. I did have a backpack on my back and only feel a little tension on my neck and shoulder. Got some scrapes on my knees and 1 elbow but I feel like it could’ve been a lot worst withought this vest!
