This is the Motorcraft factory replacement transmission filter for my 2012 F150 5.0 V8 4wd with 6R80 transmission. So far no problems with it. If you're tackling a transmission service on a newer Ford truck, I recommend fordtechmakuloko's youtube channel. He has a lot of helpful videos.

Fits 2015 f-150, 3.5 ecoboost FX4. Easy install, took about 30 minutes. You will need about 5 quarts of mercon lv. Service manual calls for an initial 3.5 quarts to fill, but you have to run/drive in order to get the transmission hot enough to circulate the oil, after i did this, i needed to add about 2.5 more quarts. I drove it around again then checked the fluid to be safe and it was in the target range like it was supose to. ... show more

The filter was a motorcraft part and matched what I took out. God help you if you do this job without a lift. What a mess. 0/10 would not do this again. Hopefully that filter is happy where it is because it's staying there until this car goes to the crusher.

Exactly what I needed for my 2011 F-150 XLT with a 5.0. A little tip, when installing, clean out the hole the filter tube slides into and it will hang on the tranny better than if it still had oil in it. Makes installing the pan a little easier.

Correct trans filter for 6R80 ford transmission found in 2011 F150. Fit great and was exactly like the one it replaced. Trans pan gasket is reusable so be careful while taking pan off as not to damage gasket. Look up a video on how to disconnect a line on radiator to use engine to flush trans empty so not to make a huge mess. To fill the trans there is a metal cap nut over the dip stick. All this is located on top of the trans on passenger side and must get under vehicle to get to it. ... show more
