    • This is Ford's latest version of a DCA4 coolant additive.
The package arrived on time and in perfect condition. 3 bottles of VC8 additive as advertised. I would have purchased locally, but every store seemed to be out of stock of every brand of additive for some reason. Ford VC8 is more or less the same as the old Ford FW16, and is appropriate for use in most coolants requiring a DCA4 type of additive. Verify that your coolant requires a DCA4 additive and use test strips to calculate the amount needed. This is Motorcraft branded additive for Ford F250 7.3 diesel motor oil to prevent cavitation. I have to presume it's going to work.

Added the coolant to my 2017 F-250. Gave it a medium rating as I have no clue if it did the job. Had to go to the dealer to reset the message "Add Coolant Additive". Maybe I didn't need to add it as it was a faulty message. It is not like being low on fuel and when you fill the tank the gauges don't keep showing that you are low on fuel. Too many gadgets on new vehicles. Will never know if the system needed the additive.. ... show more
