  • Scrape this!!
The box scraper was very easy to assemble if you have any mechanical experience. I’m still not sure about the main body steel strength but the teeth are solid steel which is very good. I did have to adapt it to my 1954 40S John Deere tractor three point hitch. I used 3/4in. Pex tubing for bushings and they worked great. I have used it on my 300 ft. Driveway and it was a little light weight but did work very well. I did buy the extended warranty in case I do need to replace something. I’ll let you know how it holds up to some future work, thanks. Well I tried this box scraper on my 330ft. driveway and the main issue I had was four of the six tines bent. I was surprised that they bent on the first day I used them. I reached out to the vendor with no reply so I filed a claim with the extended warranty Asurion. They are now reviewing my claim and I just want the tines replaced. I’ll let you know how it goes,. ... show more

  • Not heavy duty
This works fine if you plan on grading sand. Anything else the tines will bend. Bent all of the times on 20 yards of driveway and wasn’t even on the lowest setting. The rest of the equipment is fine just don’t plan on doing any heavy work with the tines

  • Think outside the box (Updated)
UPDATED 04/08/25 - This scraper is still punching above its weight class. I have moved literal mountains of gravel, dirt and crushed asphalt with it and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I needed something to maintain a quarter mile driveway that consists of crushed asphalt, siftings and gravel. I don't have a tractor ATM and the ATV is busted, so I had to think "outside the box". I used a Kolpin Heavy-Duty 3-Point Hitch System to hook the MotoAlliance CAT-0 Box Scraper to my old Wrangler....and all I can say is "Wow!". I did not expect this box scraper to be as tough as it is. So far I have moved piles of dirt, relocated a ton of crushed asphalt, leveled the driveway, and started cutting a drainage ditch in the back of the property...and the Scraper has held up remarkably well. It looks like my tractor purchase is going to be put on hold for a while. ... show more

  • Good Value Box Blade
I’ve put about 6 hours of use on this so far repairing and regrading my 23AA limestone driveway. I’ve used it with and without the ripper tines engaged. It’s mounted on a John Deere 425 with a Cat0 3 point. Echoing previous reviews. The side plates could be a bit thicker and/or a reinforcement strip near the leading corner would be nice. I tweaked both of them in the 6 hours of use I have on it so far, it was my fault on each. It would also be nice to have a cutting edge on the back of the unit, or the option to purchase a second cutting edge and bolt it on. I found myself pushing material with the backside quite a bit and it got me wondering how long the exposed hardware & backside would last without one. I have not experienced issues with the ripper tines yet but did encounter some larger 3-4” stones during my repair efforts. I’ll circle back on this review after I get some more hours on it. Overall no major complaints and exceeds my expectations for a $400 box blade. ... show more

  • Good value
Works exactly as it should. Tines will bend if you hit larger stones but not unexpected.

  • Sturdy box, weak rippers
This box scraper is mostly pretty good. After regrading a 1/4 mile long gravel driveway one time, the box assembly and blade seem to be holding up well. However, the rippers are another story. Plain hard pack dirt presented a challenge after a full day of rain, requiring about 40 passes over the driveway to achieve an inch an a half of depth. This was with my implement lift in the fully down position, with all the weight of the rear end of my ATV bearing down. Unfortunately, I was not able to till deep enough to achieve as much crown as I wanted, and 4 of the 6 rippers were mangled beyond use for a 2nd job after I finished. I have reached out to Moto Alliance to ask what my options are as far as rippers go. I couldn't find any details about the kind of steel they use for these rippers, but it seems to be nearly 3/4" thick plate - maybe 5/8". I never imagined a simple dirt driveway would present such a challenge for what look like hefty rippers. Will update when I hear back from Moto Alliance. I may have to find a local fab shop to cut some new claws from tool steel or something. I have 1 ripper from the raised side that still has its original dimensions to use as a reference if worse comes to worst. ... show more

  • Good Product but could use some upgrades
Bought this for the three-point hitch on my side by side. The metal is a soft metal for the rippers. I took them and had them hardened and tempered. I then hard faced the ripper tips and the blade for the drag box. Make yourself a templet for the edge and tips. I have had extra tips made and an edge from hardened steel for when these wear out. It would be better if they had a way to add extra weight to the edge and rippers. I fabricated a box that hangs off the back of the blade so that I could add weight as needed. After my adjustments this works great. But I also understand that if the manufacturer did these upgrades that I have done the price would jump significantly. I am lucky enough that I have the ability to do all these myself. ... show more

  • Poorly constructed, tines all bent on first use.
Poor quality everywhere--flimsy box, parts misaligned, rust, stray welding wire, tines bent. Frankly, this box blade is poorly constructed and not suitable for the job for which it's intended. Arrived in a trashed single-thickness cardboard box with bolts missing--should've been wood. Do yourself a favor and spend your money on a heavier duty piece of equipment. ... show more
