I bought this thinking it was hard gel I could ball up, it very much was not however that was my mistake entirely. This requires a good amount of understanding to use and it was one of the first products I ever used as far as using polygel. It can get very messy if you don't know what you're doing. Pros: • It is a true clear. It's not hazy like a lot of products on the market advertising its clear. • You get a ton of product for a great price! • Low odor. •Produces great results. Cons: (again, keep in mind I am not by any means a veteran in working with builder gel) • This stuff is very sticky. • The thin consistency makes it somewhat difficult to work with. • My jar despite how many times I clean it ends up leaking out of the cap and when I go to use it, it's sitting in a puddle of product. • Takes forever to cure. I usually have to cure them for about 6 minutes(I know, I know.) To fully harden and usually use very thin layers. I do not have a morovan lamp, but my lamp is 120 watts UV/LED so I assumed it would be able to handle this. In the pictures I used them to do a French tip on one set (it's not the best picture) and a lava lamp type set which I think is where it really shined. The lava lamp set was my first time ever using polygel of any kind and I found the experience very pleasant! Despite my cons, I still reccomend this product but I also reccomend you take the time to learn how to properly use it, something I didn't do. ... show more

Great for beginners, but definitely takes some practice. So much better than using extensions with gel glue. I got the clear gel and almost didn’t want to even paint them they looked great! I feel like these will last a while and I can easily fill the set and repaint. I am going to invest in a nail drill because shaping these with a regular file takes forever and they still aren’t great.. My other hand looks pretty messed up after my first try with my non dominant hand. But it was easy to work with and hardened quickly under my 48w UV lamp. The brush could be better, it kept coming apart but it got the job done. I had a full jar of product and the nail forms did their job even tho they didn’t match the ones in the photo. ... show more

I read through a lot of the reviews for this one before trying it out. It’s definitely a little thinner (runnier) than some other brands. However, knowing that, you can adjust how you apply it so it doesn’t flood the edges of your nail. Also, if you hold your fingers upside down (palms up) for 15 seconds before you cure, it will help to build the apex and not run towards the edges. Overall the product does what it says. Just before to read about how to apply gel... it's also NOT a self leveling gel. If you're a beginner look for self leveling. I did an extension nail tips.. made my own color to get a natural looking nail and the extention tip. .. they are not tips. I made my own color and my nail length from this gel. ... show more

Love this builder gel so far, I’m a beginner and it’s been very easy to use. The only thing I don’t necessarily like about it, is the gel is kind of hard to maneuver. It’s softens when you put it in hot water or wrap in in a hot towel for a bit. Otherwise, it’s great. Would reccomend.

I am not a professional nail technician. Probably like you, I am a woman who, during the pandemic, decided I'm gonna do my own nails. I've done basic gel nails and I've done regular polish. If this is the extent of your nail training, this material is about to be a bumpy ride. It's not thick enough to be sturdy on its own, it's the consistency of honey. It makes it difficult to shape your nail and extend the length. After much practice and half the bottle being gone, I can successfully do my nails to a quality non professionals would think is professional. I love that I can strengthen and grow my nails with this material. It is a bit difficult to come off but does come off with soaking. And it's so clear it almost looks natural on its own.
