  • Not perfect but pretty good. Missing parts no help
You’ll have to do some work to dial it in because of poor production. I was missing the MT5 dead center and received no help.

  • Shipped very fast and with everything advertised. I am very happy with this product
The media could not be loaded. Lathe showed up on a Saia truck, driver opened crate and helped do a quick inventory. Everything is as advertized and functional. I am very happy

  • excellent first impression, 4-star follow up...
better than expected - 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. i know these are low end, entry level, home shop, hobby lathes, but i'm somewhat blown away with this lathe. form, fit, and finish is fairly decent. after initial cleanup, i checked the runout accuracy of the chuck mounting flange. surprised with the .0005 runout. with the 4-jaw chuck, again, SURPRISED with .002 axial runout. tailstock alignment was near dead center to the chuck without any adjustments. first impression - i really can't fault anything with this lathe and as of right now, i would buy again. as i get more into this, i'll post some follow-ups. follow up - had to rework the cross-feed assembly. seems a spacer and tension spring where missing from the original. also had to fab a new gib strip - one dimple on the original was mis-located. anyway, reworked the cross feed, trued-up everything, and everything seems to work okay. because of the nature of the beast, some of this was expected, but not so much for missing parts. still happy with this lathe, but minus one star. 6 month update: upgraded the (quick change) tool holder to an accusize oxa wedge type post w/ 1/2 inch tooling. VAST IMPROVEMENT!!! ... show more

  • Good kit but bad controller circuit board
This will not work on a GFCI electrical circuit. Don’t even try. I had to put a new 20A non-gfci circuit in my garage then it worked. After using an hour the controller board went zap and a cloud of smoke swirled from it. After doing some research I found out this is common and to not even bother to ask for a replacement or buy any replacements online with Amazon or eBay. I started looking for schematics to make my own I found a guy in Maine that makes them. Installed that and now it works great, sounds better, has smoother speed changes. Is quieter and is just wonderful. I’m glad the board smoked because now it’s a better lathe. The luxury tool kit and accessories are nice and there are a lot of them just as a the picture shows. Comes with 3 and 4 jaw chucks. ... show more

  • Beware if serious contradictions like this add has.
The listing is ALL OVER THE PLACE with contradictions. - 3 jaw chuck mentioned even directly below photos of 4 jaw chuck, several times. - 550 watt shown some places and 750 at others. And several more I won't waste time on. Even though they get different models, if you can't get consistent information, you don't know what you'll get. I won't buy just cause of these issues. 2 stars just cause the photos proved decent clickbait. ... show more
