  • works well so far
Size: 10L
Did a test run with this as soon as i got it and it worked exactly as it should, I will come back and update after I've used it for awhile if anything goes wrong. put a grease and grime caked piece in there with a bit of alconox and the water turned brown and it came out basically new. I feel like some of the complaints on here are people who are either not familiar with ultrasonic cleaners, or have unnecessarily high expectations for something that is relatively inexpensive from Amazon (like the one wanting a removable basin, lol). A few tips based on my own experience with past units, and just things that I observed with this. I prefer to fill it up with hot water. I had one years ago that recommended it, and I've just always done it since. at the very least it takes a lot less time to heat up, and my thought is that it puts less wear on the heating element. Fill it all the way up to where its marked. I think a lot of people might be underfilling these, which is leading to premature failure because the ultrasonic generator is effectively "tuned" to vibrate a full bath, not a half bath. Use the basket. it's not just there for convenience. you don't want things resting directly on the bottom. The temperature dial is exactly that. it is not tied to the ultrasonic generator, it is not going to shut off until you shut it off. the heat *should* cut off with a click, and the red light on the front going out, when it hits the temperature, but it will continue to hold at that temperature until you shut it off. if it's not doing that, you have an issue with the thermostat. don't just leave it totally unattended. I'd think this would be common sense but some of these reviews..... after you drain it from the spout and it's had a chance to cool down, tip it sideways to get the last bit out. there's a reasonable amount that pools in the drainpipe and leaving it to sit in there is also unnecessary wear and tear based on the way this feels (slightly flimsy) I would also recommend finding a stationary place to set it up and plan around that. try not to carry it around, particularly full of liquid. If you don't have a convenient sink or something to put it near, drain it into a bucket. The main issues I can see myself having with it are mostly just manhandling it and bending or breaking it. my 4/5 stars is mainly because of said flimsiness, the main body is about as strong as a heavy cardboard box, and because the ultrasonic portion is obnoxious compared to my last cleaner around this size. I assume it was better at muffling the sound, and on top of that the sound is a lot "rougher", so it's just a hellacious racket. it gets the job done (so far) so I can't complain about it too much. ... show more

  • Good so far
Size: 30L
It was a good deal. I like the knobs, really dislike the cheesy blister buttons on other cleaners. The large size...I should have bought this first, this in my 4th ultrasonic cleaner, I kept wanting a bigger one. I think an "LS" engine head will fit, although I didn't actually put one in it yet. If it breaks, I'll update this review, but great so far. The solution heats up much faster if the cleaner is turned on, too. Surprisingly, since heat is applied from the bottom, convection alone doesn't really cause that much motion..the agitation distributes the heat better, and adds a bit of its own heat, I suppose. ... show more

  • Very pleased so far!
Size: 10L
Excellent so far. When the unit arrived I unpacked it and set it up. I was super excited and gathered up some rusty old tools etc. to test the unit out on. I ran them through a 15 min cycle using blue dawn, white vinegar, and water the results were impressive. A small antique pipe cutting tool that I had put in was completely seized up and the parts were not free moving prior to the first run but even after just the first 15 min cycle I could of freely move most of the parts. I was amazed, I put this and the rest of the items through another 15 min cycle and wow the amount of dirt and dust that can off was amazing and with a wire brush and minimal elbow grease even the heavy rust started to melt away. It's not a miracle machine but it certainly does it's job. The second run I put a tie rod end off of a 55' Willy's jeep in it, same cleaning formula as the first run plus a little LA's totally awesome cleaner...we had already tried using a torch to break it loose from the bar it threads into with no luck...after a 30 minute cycle it was still not free to remove it but we flipped it over and did the other end. After that cycle finished one end came out surprisingly easy (by hand after the clamp was loosened) and the original stuck end took a bit of leverage to break loose but finally gave. I'm not sure it would have come loose without putting it through the machine considering how much time, heat and force we exhausted on it prior to the ultrasonic bath. Granted the 10L isn't huge I was still able to do one end of that bar at a time and it worked great for me. So, so far so good. Two uses, a few cycles and I'm loving it so far. I chose this model because it seemed to have better reviews than all the other brands/models with the digital control panels. I was not dissapointed. I will update my review at point in the future but if it continues to deliver the same performance, I'd consider it a solid buy for $$. If your like me and have realistic expectations I think you will be pleased. As another user stated the heating element doesn't shut itself off when the timer for the ultrasonic cycle ends - something to be cognizant of but by no means a deal breaker for me. The noise I found irritating, and I actually wore ear protection the first time I ran the machine because I stayed in the room with it...it's not terribly loud but the frequency it buzzes at is irritating and unpleasant for me. The second time I set the cycle time and left to do something else outside the garage until it was done. Hopefully it continues to do a great job for a long time. ... show more

  • Not 6L as advertised - It's 4L at best
Size: 6L
This thing is smaller than advertised. First off- It is NOT a 6L tank. At best it is 4 liters. If you fill it to the brim it's just over 5L, but that is not how you use it. I checked to see if I was sent a wrong size but the data tag even says 6L. Second - the this draws NOWHERE NEAR the power claimed. I measured it with heat and transducers on and it was only 285 Watts TOTAL. Not the claimed 200W heater and 180 Watt transducer it's advertised as being. Wattage is additive so it should be near 380W. Third but minor - the size of the opening is smaller than advertised. I updated their picture incase you need a reference. Fortunately the parts I'm cleaning will just barely fit, but any smaller and it would be unusable. One more thing I just noticed is that the outside of this gets really hot. So I doubt it has much if any insulation to keep the heat in. Unlucky me, I can't fit the next size up in the space and I don't have the time to wait for it to arrive either, so I am stuck with it. TBH, I am tired of playing good or garbage roulette on this site. Might be time to start shopping local again. ... show more
