The media could not be loaded. Moissanite is actually slightly more brilliant than diamonds, and difficult to distinguish from diamonds. It's worlds better than CZ. However, I've seen so many Moissanite stones in the wrong setting. Low profile settings are often used by jewelers to distract from cheap diamonds with poor color or lots of imperfections. When you have a good quality stone, you want a tall setting - that not only shows off the stone, but also gets some light behind the stone so it can shine. So often I see Moissanite stones with low profile settings - which is a shame, because it hinders the brilliance. But fortunately, this necklace is done correctly - with a tall setting that allows some light behind the stone and it sparkles and shines brilliantly. My only complaint is the chain is a bit thin, I'll definitely be giving it a new chain. The chain is the ONLY reason I'm giving this 4 stars. The stone and setting are gorgeous, and it comes in a gift-ready presentation box. One final comment - this is just a stone by itself, not a pendant or anything. It might tip people off that it's a fake. A 3-carat stone of this quality would be in the $50,000 range, and a 4-carat stone would be $110,000 if real. So frankly, I would have preferred a 2-carat Moissanite in a nice little pendant, just to help maintain the illusion that it's a genuine diamond. ... show more

I went for the big 4 carat which sounds like it would be too big and fake looking but it isn't. The chain is dainty and lovely and the stone, while larger is still not tacky or cheap looking. It sparkles intensely and even at that larger size is still elegant and classic looking. The only thing I was not exactly pleased with was the presentation quality from a gift perspective. It came in an almost Tiffany blue cardboard box that contained a fairly large dark green sueded box lined in black that just seemed to be picked at random as it almost clashes with the box it's in and it feels too large for just a solitaire pendant even if it is 4 carats. The pendant itself was in a tiny plastic zip bag with a big white information sticker on it and a small pale pink piece of cleaning cloth. Unlike other similar Moissanite pieces I have received, this one came with nothing that described what the stone was or the quality of the piece. Without understanding what Moissanite is the receiver would probably think you just got them a big pretty CZ. ... show more

I was apprehensive about getting the 3 carat size but it was actually a good bold size. I love this necklace but the hook broke on first wear. I’ll have to replace the hook to wear it again. Chain quality could be better imo.
