I was afraid to purchase this, quite honestly, even though I've had Montana West handbags before and they've always been well made for the price point, but some of the reviews made the bag seem absolutely awful and some of the pics made the bags look all wrinkly and cheap, but the tote that I received looks just like the picture, not wrinkly or really cheap looking. The coffee color is just a tad lighter than the pic, but not a problem. It's a rich, earthy brown and I really like it. As far as the tote itself: it is exactly what I needed, I had a high-end handbag that somebody kindly gifted to me, but it was stiff and just did not cut it. My wallet was always sticking out and I always had trouble getting items in and out. It became more of a high-end nuisance than anything else. I really needed something larger and deeper that I could put everything in and I could easily pull it out and put it back in and that's exactly what this tote bag does for me. With everything going up, at this price point, I didn't have high expectations, but for the price, it is well made. It's probably not as stiff as some would like structure-wise. It is soft, but it does have some structure to it While this is a good size tote, it's not ginormous and clunky. I think it's a perfect size. It holds everything I need, with some room to spare and it's easy to get anything I need in and out without feeling like I'll never get my hand back again, so for me, it's great. I can deal with the fact that it's not stiffer or super high-end, because I would probably pay at least three times as much, which is not necessary for my needs. I really like this bag and I will update as far as durability goes, I hope it holds up because it really works well for me. *Update*: I've been using this bag for several weeks and it has held up great. It's kind of like a pack mule for me-you name it- I put it in there and there are no signs of wear. The straps are holding up very well, no sign of the straps pulling away from the bag and the stitching is holding up well. It's very similar to one I purchased before. Slight differences. Nice color (blue), looks nice. Would rather have an OUTSIDE pocket (like my other one) rather than the small purse-like attachment. I'd drop my car keys in the outside pocket. Now I'll have to put them one of the 2 inside pockets. Safer? Probably. Convenient? Not so much. Small attached purse is not big enough for my phone case(android). Tote about 1.5 inches smaller across (width) than previous tote. Overall still a nice size tote for what I need & $20 less than I paid for the other tote. Faux leather look. Hoping it holds up thru spring & summer. ... show more

This is a great bag. I’m so happy with it.! I generally carry a tiny Crossbody phone holder type purse or simply a lanyard with my phone and wallet attached to it because I hate carrying around a big purse. However, I’m in sales and I work out of my car so I often card a lot of miscellaneous stuff around in a tote I wanted to get one that looks a little more upscale and like a purse and this is it. * it’s functional - It’s a big open toe without all of the endless pockets. I can fit my purse, my tablet and a whole bunch of other necessities. It has one small zipper pocket in which I put little makeup items. It also came with a little makeup pouch that matches. And that I actually put candy lol. I rarely zip it, but the top also zips, which is nice for when I don’t want everything to fall out. I often use it for shopping as well. * it looks nice- the bag I ordered was a rich brown color with a gold Montana West logo in the front. It has a very simple classy style. * it’s very easy to carry right on my shoulder * the leather is very soft and not at all stiff, which I like. At the same time it seems super rugged to me. I’ve had my bag for 3 months now using it daily and often of using it with no signs of wearing out anytime soon * price - the price is amazing. Montana West is the one to watch right now as far as moving up the ranks to designer bags like Coach, Madden, Dooney& Bourke, Louie Vuitton etc. The quality is amazing, the inside material is beautiful and the colors of this bag compliment each other. It a beautiful Spring or Summer Hand Bag with the colors. It comes with a cosmetic bag that is the same color and material or whatever you want to use it form. It Zips shut, spacious for sure! Inside pockets and zippered compartment. The design and quality with beautiful interior makes it one to way. Get it while it's affordable, as I promise you, it is on it's way up. I have two bags of theirs and gave one as a gift. Enjoy, Montana West Purses and Hand Bags are beautiful, comfortable and will fit a lot in them. Colors and styles abound, large and medium sizes. I haven't seen a small one yet. The interior is it's signature. The only thing they need to fix is it's emblem on the outside. Oh, and it isn't plastic either, it's the real thing. They just need to clear out the letters so it is easier to see the name. Like the O's, it is filled in, they need to take that gold filling out to see the letters better. That is it!
