This review is for the Montana West Large Hobo Bags for Women Shoulder Purses and Ladies Handbags. If you've read some of my other reviews you may know I'm a huge fan of the Montana West/wrangler brand, but I still look at every item I get with a critical eye for the details. You may also know I'm a short handicapped woman, I use a cane in my right hand and my service dog is on my left. So I use crossbody/sling bags and backpacks to carry/secure my stuff so my hands are free. This is not genuine leather which I prefer, it's vegan (fake/faux) leather, but it's nice thick material that has a good texture with nice soft feel and suppleness to it. Of note is this purse weighs 2 Lbs empty! This large size purse has fantastic style with attention to details. I don't usually carry a purse this big, I'll be keeping this one back for special occasions, and if you like your stuff secured/organized this will need a purse organizer in it. I detest my stuff all ending up in a jumble in the black abyss at the bottom of a big purse. To start with the handle has great style being adjustable on both ends with gold tone rings/buckles/ metal eyelets. Also of note is the lacing on the strap. This strap at it's shortest can be hand/arm crook carry and at it's longest may allow for shoulder carry if you do not have bulky clothing on. You could remove this strap by unbuckling it. The long adjustable guitar strap is made of nice 2 color webbing, good thickness, soft on the skin, Montana West brand on it, leather tab keepers on each end and spring clips. On each end on the outside of the bag is a vertical zippered pocket, good place for your cell phone or concealed carry! On the side with the metal Montana west logo there is a zippered pocket, you could consider this the front side or carry that against your body and it becomes a more secure zip pocket. This zipper has a gold tone metal pull on it. There is no reason the plain side/back can't face out, it looks just fine. All other zippers have nice big long zipper pulls on them for easy grasp and adds an interesting touch of style too. Inside the main zipper close pocket you will find a BIG roomy space, on the one side are 2 slip in pockets and on the opposite a zipper close one. Has the typical silky material liner seen with the brand. This bag comes in several nice color choices. At the regular price $29.99 per the listing, it's a great choice for this large size hobo style bag with some pizazz! As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed.     • Pretty, but no good for CCW.

This is a very stylish purse at a great price. I actually have it in two colors, but it loses stars due to the fact that it's advertised as a CCW purse, and it is not designed well for that AT.ALL. It is very roomy with a nice lining and some inside side wall pockets. However, the side zip pockets where it would be ideal to store the firearm are TINY! My little Sig P238 just barely fits without a holster. Especially being a flimsy fabric pocket, there is no way I can carry that way. I would never carry, even in a separate pocket without the trigger being safely guarded. That is not possible with this design. I am trying to figure out a way to engineer a solution using the outside back zipper pocket, possibly sewing in some velcro and adding a holster. It's a nice purse overall, just be advised that it's not good for CCW purposes. ... show more

I really like this Hobo bag. It is very stylish and appears to be well made. I see no issues with quality All the stitching is well sewn and the zippers work smoothly. This is, of course, a fake leather (Poly Urethane (PU) Leather), but it looks and feels like leather. The beige parts are smooth, and the white is pebbled making for a nice change in textures. On the inside, the polyester lining is smooth and attractive. There is just one large compartment inside, with a few pockets sewn into the sides. One pocket (divided in two) is not zippered, and one pocket opposite which is zippered. On the outside, there are zippered pockets on each end of the bag which are large enough for a phone or sunglasses, and one zippered side pocket which is slightly larger than the two end pockets. The primary strap is attractively laced. I thought at first that this stitching might be uncomfortable, but it is not. It is comfortable and that stitching actually helps the bag to stay on the shoulder. There is a second woven strap that can be used if desired. The top of the bag is also zippered and one side of the top is longer than the other which allows it to lop over the top of the bag....pretty cool. As you can see from the photos, this is not a little clutch or evening bag. It is a sizable tote with lots of room for a day out. I really like this bag, and highly recommend it. ... show more
