This review is for the Montana West Hobo Bags for Women Top-handle Tote Bag with Chain Handle and Rivets Decoration. So very nice looking bag here ladies! And I must say it's BIG! Way bigger than I was thinking it was going o be. It's not going to be my everyday bag as I'll keep this one for special outings, and I'm sure I can use one of my shoulder straps from another montana west bag so I can wear it as a crossbody. I got this bag in the lovely blue jean blue color, I already have the perfect wrangler/montana west tri fold wallet to match it! LOL. My mom is prob going to want to steal this bag as soon as she sees it! LOL. I'll be on the hunt for a bag organizer insert now. But I just love this bag, has a nice soft feel to it and comes in a nice array of color choices. The metal studs and the partial chains on the straps really dress it up, hardware on this blue bag is silver tone. The smaller metal studs have a single row all the way around the top of the bag, on the front they're larger & there is a row down each side where the sides meet the front, on the back it's just the row across the top. Has an easy to access zip pocket on the back, love the security of the zipper. The inside is nice and roomy with a zip pocket on the one side and 2 large size slip in pockets on the other. It has a zipper close on the top, again love the added security of the zipper. Also note all zippers on this bag are nylon in matching color for the color of the bag, they do have metal pulls, and they work smoothly. I must say there is a good size gap on both ends of the top close zipper which I do not care for, this kinda negates the security that zipper provides. Also, metal studs/feet on the bottom of the bag would have been appreciated to protect it from wear. Stitching is great throughout the bag. This bag is big enough to easily carry a tablet in a case or small laptop with room to spare. Not sure I would want to lug the bag around with those items in it, but each to their own LOL. All in all a really nice bag, when I stack this up VS the regular price $34.99 per the listing I think it's bit high, but there is a 50% off coupon right now which I think brings the price more inline for me to feel good about it. This is an excellent bag! First, it shipped quickly with no trouble at all. I took it out of the package (box is nice enough to give the purse as a gift!) and I was immediately impressed. The hardware, materials, and stitching are of very high quality. Not that it is important to everyone, but I really like that the zippers are very smooth. There is one zipper pocket on the outside of the bag. It's about 5" (12-13 cm) deep. I do like a zipper on the outside pocket because I love the extra security for things I want to get easily but also want to protect from loss. On the inside, the lining is a tan/black/gold printed pattern that is accented nicely by the gold hardware. There are two open pockets on the inside on one side. They are reinforced at the top with what looks like sewn-in leather piping. This added touch will make those pockets very durable. My phone fits comfortably and securely in one of these pockets. The other pocket on the opposite interior side is a zipper-closed pocket. This bag is cavernous. I measured the width from top left corner to the other corner (along the zipper line) and it is 20". I also measured the bag from the front middle (between where the handle is connected) to the back middle (also midway from where the handle connects), perpendicular to the zipper, and that measurement is also 20". The description says that the bag is 11*9*2.5 inches, but my measurements are 12" high, and at the base, 12.5" wide and 9" deep. I'm not complaining, I love the size of this bag and feel like I got something better than described. I do have to add that as a big bag, it is not heavy at all. I can imagine this bag being VERY versatile. I got it in pewter so I can pair it with jeans and my pewter flats for a casual look, or it would look just as nice in a more formal, even professional, setting. Pros: - The material on the outside feels leather-like and soft. - The gold color is beautiful and will match many different outfits. - The studs seem well attached on the bag and are really sturdy. They do not feel cheap or like they will come off easily. - The straps are well made and attached. Stitching was consistent throughout the bag and feels secure. - The zipper is smooth and appears also of good quality. The end of the zipper even has the brand name and logo, which is a nice touch. Cons: - IT IS LARGE! Way bigger than I was expecting (which I guess I should have really paid attention to the measurements). But this is the size of an overnight or beach bag, and because it doesn't have much of a structure to it, it will become an endless hole. I haven't seen a bag organizer for this large of a bag yet that worked well. - The inside lining is made of that plastic/fabric hybrid material that might be easier to clean but definitely cheapens the bag a bit. Overall, I will likely be using this bag more during the summer, just not the way I had intended as it will not work for a work/everyday tote like I had hoped. ... show more
