Long Range FFP Scope Target an incredible range with the adjustable 3-18x magnification. Etched Crosshair FFP reticle with red illumination for better visibility. Features a 1/4 MOA windage and elevation adjustments with zero setting. Manufactured from aircraft grade 6061 aluminum. Anti-fog nitrogen charged and weather resistant seals. The Custom Type-H FFP features a 1 MOA dot in the center and 1 MOA between hashmarks with 20 MOA per side and a total of 40 MOA per plane. The reticle illuminates in 11-levels of red throughout the reticle. 1 MOA = 1 inch @ 100 yards. I purchased this scope to give it a try. The price was too hard to pass up for a ffp scope with brass internals and all the other features. I was surprised with the clarity of the optic, it tracks very well, holds zero, and the reticle is easy to see at all magnification levels. I did notice that when you get to the top of the magnification level, the eye box can be a little finicky. It can be a bit harder to get the right angle to see through to get the sight picture. You just have to take your time and get lined up behind the scope. I’ve seen other people complain about the center dot when at top magnification. At top magnification, the center dot will match a one inch circle on the target at 100 yards. This scope is on a hunting rifle, so this doesn’t bother me. I also had no issues taking shots out at further distances than 100 yards. I think this scope is a good value. I’m happy I purchased it. It will serve its purpose perfectly for me. ... show more

This scope is pretty good. However, the crosshairs get a little blurry at the higher magnifications. The illumination is very good also but I wouldn’t recommend going above 3 on either color. It causes the crosshairs to become washed out even in the daylight. Overall it’s a solid budget scope.

    • Better than expected
I have two 6-24 G2 and G3 scopes and I really like them, but they add significant weight to the rifle for hunting applications. I am not a competition shooter. So hunting applications are more important to me. the 18x on this scope is more than enough for any ethical shooting distance on game. I prefer shooting on 6-9x, but am glad to have the extra boost if needed. The clarity on the scope is far better than I expected. Excellent. The focus is excellent. The parallax adjusts easily and with excellent focus for my eyes. The windage and elevation are easy to use and adjust with excellent feel and audible clicks. The dial can be adjusted to zero. There is no zero stop, but once sighted the dial can be set at zero. I prefer this for hunting applications. The only negative I have on this scope is that the illumination for the reticle is extremely hard to adjust. But, I won't use it very often, so I can live with it. Overall, this scope meets everything I want in a scope for a hunting application. I highly recommend it. I wish I had found this before I bought the 6-24x scopes. For hunting, I like this much better. ... show more

I've used a lot of Monstrum products over the years and this is a first. It's labeled as 1 lb 5 ounces. Scope, rings, and lens caps is actually 2 lbs 2.3 ounces. Retical is rather small at 3x but glass is clear. Rings that come with the scope are nothing spectacular but are rigid enough for a hunting rifle. Lens caps are a soft rubber that open and close nicely. Illuminated Retical does put a little glow in the glass when on the higher 3 settings. Is this a scope for extreme long rang shooting in my opinion no. But it's as good if not better than scopes out there that are 2-3 times the money. For 90% of the people out there this scope is more than enough for what you are doing and more capable than the shooters skills. ... show more

    • Sometimes you get more than you pay for
I have only had this scope for $ days, but, I was able to Range site in Scope Saturday. I watched a YouTube.com claiming that this was a lot of extras, in a low budget high powered scope. He was right. I have never owned a scope priced over #1,400. I can clearly state that the Quality of glass is excellent, along with the clear sharp MOA reticle. The turret Clicks are very soft and quite, not sharp and definite, as I like. The illumination of the reticle was surprising, the red illumination was visible in full sunlight throughout my Range day, I have it mounted on an AR-15 delivering 300 AAC. Only9 shots needed to zero. I had a little problem bringing the target in clear focus and I have seen reviews that state the same effect. I will be trying again evaluate this further. Another surprising features is the eye relief. Small, but decent manual states eye relief at @4". Take that as a conservative estimate, mine is 4 1/2" I do not own a scope with such an eye relief spread. This gave me more prereferral vision, but, a Clear, defined optical sight picture. the scope featured offerings only found on $500 and up scopes. I highly recommend this scope for an entry level shooter or hunter, or for any shooter looking for a quality inexpensive scope. ... show more

Its every bit as good as my Vortex PST, for nearly three times less what I paid for the Vortex. It is mounted, but not yet sighted in. I love the FFP Reticle. The only thing I found strange, was the lack of a serial number on the device. If it got ripped off some how, how would I ever prove it was mine without having damaged it by engraving, etc. The bottom line is its a damn fine scope for the money, Plus I got another 30% off when I bought it with "an Amazon store card offer." I ended up getting it for about $165.00. I'm still doing my "happy Dance." So I lost a screw that affixes the scope to the rings. I "heard" it drop to the box below, never, of course to be found again. I contacted Monstrum to ask if I could purchase a couple, and they said "no problem" and sent me 4 new ones and called it a warranty. MAN, I love these people and their scopes!!!!!! This is an excellent scopeat twice its price. I'm going to shop them first for the next optics I buy. I had really believed that "the good old days" were gone, but not at Monstrum. Mind you, I'm not gushing over a screw!, I am gusing over their customer service which is EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! ... show more
