After a few months of gentle use, some products broke and despite the company claiming to offer a lifetime warranty, experiences with their customer service varied.

Cons

  • 😥 Warranty service might be challenging

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a budget-friendly scope with good clear visuals and easy set-up, Monstrum Banshee LPVO might be a good fit. However, be aware of the potential risk factor in terms of longevity and the company's warranty service. If these factors aren't deal-breakers for you, the product could be worth giving a shot.

  • Blown away
Style: Black | MX1 Reticle
For buck 30 you get a very, very decent scope with the MX1 reticle, which with this implementation has the slightly thicker reticle lines. Very nice, the viewfinder wall is thin when viewing, almost like a Leupold - so you don't have the super thick, almost rimhorned surrounding. The reticle itself, MX1, is by far my favorite as you get to focus on the center dot without bunch of nonsense around it - probably one of the better reticle designs out there. The scope feels very sturdy, is not overly heavy, the click adjustments are 1/2 @ 100, but the knobs are nice size and very tactile and clicky - overall, step in the right direction Monstrum - I find that every year Monstrum's getting better and better. Oh and you get an American flag sticker - which is SUPER durable - the one on my car from four years ago has seen rain, snow, sleet, heat, sunshine and cold, plus countless chemicals, and STILL looks almost brand new - I mean what's this sticker made of? Undestructabilium? Anyways, the scope is grrrreat! ... show more

  • Better than expected
Style: Black | BDC B1 Reticle
The scope is a happy surprise. Banshee, 1-6X BDC B1. Quality, clarity and reticle design is better than expected. Really is a value for the money. The fact that it also comes with an off-set mount is really a good deal. If you are looking for a LPVO that is duel duty, close to med distance, this is the scope for you. The 1X setting is great for close target awareness and appears to be a true 1X both eyes open, it is good.... all other settings are clear and bright to 6X. Very happy so far. Durability is yet to be seen but looks promising. Good job Monstrum. ... show more

  • A surprise gem in a budget Lpvo
Style: Black | MX1 Reticle
For the price I will give it a 5 star.I installed it on my Zastava ZPAP M70 shooting between 50-200yds.The glass is really nice and clear, very comparable to my Primary Arms 1-8 scope. A little hefty but solidly built.Weight don’t bother me since I shoot mostly on the bench.Knobs are a little stiff but I am sure it will loosen up a bit with use.In very bright daylight the red or green recticles is hard to see but excellent in indoor or low light environments. At highest 6 power ,some eye adjustments is need to get the sweet sight spot but not a big deal at all.Overall,it’s a very nice scope for beginners or even experienced shooters..This is my first Monstrum scope and hopefully won’t be the last..Good job Monstrum.. ... show more

  • Functionality and Ergonomics
Style: Black | MX1 Reticle
The Scope holdes Zero quite well @ 120ish rounds so far So Good. The mount that comes with it is a nice bonuses as these can get well into the $100s, I would prefer that the scope offered a cantilever focus that is more easily accessible is my only drawback however it's a Really good scope for the price and the image is clear and crisp, I do think this is a Bargin for a quality scope. ... show more

  • If you’re on the fence, buy it!
Style: Black | BDC B1 Reticle
Don’t listen to anyone that says Monstrum optics aren’t quality. I put this on a 16” AR15 and it held up to shooting 300 rounds of medium range work (out to 400 yards) and on the 270° range running drills. I got the 1-6 with the BDC B1 reticle and it’s the perfect combo. Mechanically the 1-6 is the easiest and most durable optic so keep that in mind as you shop around. I previous had a Primary Arms 1-6 that was double the cost and this easily competes with it. Only downside is battery life on illumination and I would consider this daylight bright but not red dot bright. I’ll be buying more in the future! ... show more

  • Extremely awesome for the price
Style: Black | BDC B1 Reticle
I have a Sig Tango lpvo well over $300 this one came in at about 1:29 and it is very competitive I'm not sure the Glass isn't clear in this scope

  • Impressive!!!
Style: Black | BDC B1 Reticle
Totally impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this scope. Glass is crystal clear, tracks perfectly and comes with a solid mount! Spend more on a V or L but this will certainly do the job for 1/4 the price!! Totally impressive!!

  • Okay, hear me out
Style: Black | BDC B1 Reticle
I gave it a 5 star rating simply due to the fact that it is priced so low. If this optic was $250, I would have given it 4 stars, if it was $400, I would have given it 3 stars, and so on. The clarity of the glass is actually pretty impressive, comparing it to two other LPVOs (Athlon Argos BTR 1-8 and a Vortex Viper 1-6), the monstrum seemingly has clearer glass than the Athlon, but obviously falls short of the Viper. Build quality is adequate. Also, take the price point of $130 including a scope mount, crazy value. Often times, mounts are upwards of $130. Sure, its just a basic 1-6, but the quality is good, and it holds a zero (at least on my 6.5 Grendel). If you are on a tight budget, and are looking to get into LPVOs, give it a shot. ... show more
