I'm writing this review too soon since I haven't actually tried it out, but out of the box, I like it. It looks well built, sturdy, and the optics are very good. The mount looks good and sturdy but I didn't use it in favor of a quick detach mount. It is a little on the heavy side, but it I think it will do the job of 2 scopes. Let me explain. I had been looking for a red dot scope for pig hunting in close quarters, but couldn't find the right one despite trying several. I accidentally came across this scope. Since it goes down to 1x power and it has a lighted reticle, you can use it in the same manner as a red dot, both eyes open. AND.....Since it goes up to 6x power, it useful for those longer shots as well. Best of both worlds, except it is much heavier than a red dot. So.... For the price of a pretty good red dot scope, I have both. The one thing that I didn't like on first inspection is the back lens cap. It fits too loosely and I usually flip the cap off rather than opening it as intended. Not sure how to correct this issue. I'll update after taking it into the field if I have any issues. The Scope holdes Zero quite well @ 120ish rounds so far So Good. The mount that comes with it is a nice bonuses as these can get well into the $100s, I would prefer that the scope offered a cantilever focus that is more easily accessible is my only drawback however it's a Really good scope for the price and the image is clear and crisp, I do think this is a Bargin for a quality scope. 250RDS Holds Zero, let me add some pros to this, the Scope Has nice weight to it feels good. The Focal lever is low profile and is just a tad on the stiff side However it's not really that bad and I'd rather it be more on the stiff side then loose and again this maybe only the New scope Breakin period it may slowly get lighter the more she Goes pew pew pew pew.... That said, Great sight Box, Definition nice and bright lines clean sharp image and Crissssp. I Would Give it A 5 Star if I wasn't super analytical with Holding Zero, Will review at 500rds So far This is a scope I'll be purchasing AGAIN FOW SHOW! My knowledge of scopes is quite limited as I mostly shoot hangun, but I needed one for my AR and didn't want to spend big. This scope should work fine for my needs. As others have noted the larger cap comes off while attempting to flip it up, but that isn't a big deal.

For the price I will give it a 5 star.I installed it on my Zastava ZPAP M70 shooting between 50-200yds.The glass is really nice and clear, very comparable to my Primary Arms 1-8 scope. A little hefty but solidly built.Weight don’t bother me since I shoot mostly on the bench.Knobs are a little stiff but I am sure it will loosen up a bit with use.In very bright daylight the red or green recticles is hard to see but excellent in indoor or low light environments.At highest 6 power ,some eye adjustments is need to get the sweet sight spot but not a big deal at all.Overall,it’s a very nice scope for beginners or even experienced shooters..This is my first Monstrum scope and hopefully won’t be the last..Good job Monstrum.. ... show more

I bought this scope for a CZ527 that I own. As a brush gun, I wanted something that would work up close and out to about 300 yards if needed. I bought this scope on a whim as I don't like the ACSS reticles that most LPVOs come with. I needed something a little quicker to pick up like a red dot, but with better range. Opening the box I was pleasantly surprised to find a sturdy scope with clear glass. Having a stigmatism I was concerned about the illuminated reticle, but this one seems to do well for me without any flaring. All in all, I am shooting this on a 7.62x39mm firearm, so recoil is not punishing. I cannot speak to larger calibers. ... show more

I love the eye relief, the large sight box, the MX1-MOA Reticle and the red and green modes. In low light, with dark targets, the Green Dot on the 1 or 2 power level is my favorite. I mounted this scope a little higher than normal, (3.25" above bore) to give me a RDS feel at 1x. It's RDS fast on target and does well in low light conditions. I'm thinking of buying another one, for my PCC. The 1.0 Dot and 2.0 MOA hash marks on the reticle should allow for 9mm 200 yard accuracy. I didn't like how tight the zoom turned. But, it's starting to get easier with use. This scope has zero defects. No problems with the Mount, the zero or the illumination. No cosmetic dings anywhere. Using .223 with not much recoil. I recommend this scope for AR style rifles. ... show more
