Absolutely love this thing. Was buying a second for my mother-in-law. It’s so convenient for laundry and the magnet works well. I’ve even got a shorter one stuck to the front of my stacked washer/dryer. There’s no room for a trash can in the tiny closet it’s in and this helps so much!

Happened by chance- I thought of this up while continuing to decorate our remodel. I needed a small trash in the bathroom/laundry room. At first I was going to get a fancy “lint” basket made of metal and a little bigger but I decided to save some $ on this purchase so I went with this plastic one with the magnet. I wasn’t sure where I was going to install it but at the very least, it would stick to the side of our laundry units. Well, turns out that these small but powerful magnetic strips I bought for another project, that came with sticker backs to mount on walls and stuff, would come in handy with this bin. I took pics to show y’all what I did, and I’m so happy I figured this is out because I was able to attach this bin to the inside of the main vanity door under the sink utilizing the magnets with the sticky strip backing. So all I have to do now is open the vanity door a small crack to drop in the dryer lint and my makeup-removing cotton balls. It the perfect size and weight & best of all, it’s completely detachable to empty. ALSO No holes anywhere!

To easily dispose of coffee k-cups and capsules, I initially set up both a small popup trash can and a hanging bag in the cabinet door. Neither worked well or were recognizable to guests. Then I found this magnet bin and set it right next to the coffee counter. It is both discrete and obvious. I bought 0.5 Gallon 240 pcs Mini Clear Trash Bags to use with it but they are too shallow so I have to tape the bags to keep them fom dropping into the can. The size is right but look for deeper bags. You can also just buy one bag and dump the contents out and the bag will last for a long time.
