This bookcase was fairly easy to assemble. One person can assemble alone within about 20-30 mins, but much easier with two people. It is very sturdy once assembled and displays your accessories beautifully. Two of the bookcases were slightly uneven and wobbly once completed. Nothing a little hot glue couldn’t remedy. I purchased three units to cover a back wall in my foyer and they look great. The one con I had was aligning three separate bookcases together. That took some adjusting and a bit of hot glue on the legs (as mentioned before) of two of the units to get equal height and placement. ... show more

1. Once it’s together, it’s very wonky/crooked - to fix it, lay the frame down on the floor, have someone hold it flat on the ground while you loosen and retighten the screws. 2. A soldered pieces of metal was very sharp and scratched another pole in transit - it’s minor and fixable. 3. I'm very pleased with this shelving unit, it's sturdy and has a nice clean and open look. But I was especially impressed with the customer service. There were two problems with the order, one of which turned out to be my fault, but both problems were fixed very quickly and easily with just a phone call and email. It's not very hard to assemble, but there are a lot of pieces (all number-coded, thankfully), so just give yourself a lot of space and lay the parts out by number before starting assembly. ... show more

Love this shelving unit. Exactly what I was looking for. Easy assembly for this 60 yr old grandma. A couple of the little suction cups were missing but they were sent very quickly.

The other reviewers weren't kidding about the assembly instructions leaving something to be desired! But, once I powered through and got the shelves up, I was very satisfied. I ordered two, and in one of the boxes, a part was missing. I used the company's online customer service, and they sent me a new part right away. Came with a broken piece. Fantastic customer service!! The new piece arrived promptly. It's a little shaky, but nothing concerning if you don't have kids who might pull on it.

Love these shelves , but they are more of a matte gray than silver. Other than that I am Very Happy with them. Oh and I put them together by myself.

The bookcase was a pleasant surprise! I didn’t expect this kind of quality. Assembly wasn’t a big deal. Just sort all the materials before getting started. I referred to the diagrams several times. I’m very pleased with the out come!
