The MOKURA 15L Small Hiking Lightweight Daypack is absolutely perfect for hiking, but what I love most is that it's perfect for hiking while traveling! I travel frequently and always like to have a daypack available for adventures, but I don't want a bulky backpack taking up valuable suitcase space. Typically I'll just pack my nylon crossbody bag and then maybe try to hang my sunglasses, a water bottle and my keys to the outside with a carabiner. It works but it is A LOT and if I'm trying to climb. I'm getting hit in the face by water bottle at times. Since this backpack is incredibly lightweight and folds down so compactly that it takes up virtually no room in my luggage. I can easily toss it into my suitcase and have a comfortable, functional backpack ready when I'm exploring a new city or country. It also works great for touring since it's such a small size and fits so close to the body. What really impressed me is that it has so many useful features without being overdone. The removable external mesh pouch is a great design feature. Not only does it provide extra storage when you're using the backpack, but it also holds the backpack itself when it's packed away. That makes it easy to store at home or keep in the car for those times when you need a backpack unexpectedly. I also love that it includes an adjustable chest strap. It helps keep the backpack secure and comfortable while hiking, and the adjustability means it can work well for people of different heights and body types. Despite its compact size, there's plenty of room inside. The main compartment is surprisingly spacious and includes additional compartments that are perfect for a computer, tablet, or other items you want to keep more secure and organized. The side pocket fits a water bottle beautifully, which is essential for any hiking or travel backpack. I love the phone lanyard as well. Despite a million warnings from YouTube I got my phone stolen in Italy. This would have prevented that. This backpack is also fantastic for beach days. You get all the convenience of carrying your essentials without lugging around a giant beach bag, and the material doesn't seem like the type that's going to trap and collect sand. I chose the yellow color, figuring that being a little more high-visibility in the woods or on a mountain couldn't hurt, and I am very happy with that choice. The color is attractive, bright, and makes the bag easy to spot. This has become one of my favorite hiking and travel accessories, and I highly recommend it.

I’ll admit it; I’m a backpack junkie. I have a big one for long trips, a medium sized one for shorter trips, a hydration pack and a couple of daypacks. But I just can’t help wondering if the next one might just check off a couple more boxes. So I ordered this pretty yellow one, a color not yet in my repertoire. The first thing I saw when opening is the large, detachable mesh bag which was a big plus! On longer hikes I tend to change socks and usually bring a clip to hang the dirty one on the outside of my pack. This will give me a more secure and much easier way to contain them but still allow them, and any other damp clothes or towels, to air dry. On further inspection I saw the two shoulder strap bags. One of my packs has a similar bag but it is much smaller. These are large enough to hold my phone, or a water bottle or several snacks. I was also surprised at the volume of the main compartment. I could shove a LOT in there. And there are several other zippered compartments for organization or to hide something out of easy reach. The only negative is I have to say that it was made with cheap components. The zippers are small and lesser quality than my main backpacks and will probably be one of the first things to fail. The buckle clips that secure the mesh bag are tiny and feel a little flimsy. I have not yet taken it on a true hike. That will come with my October vacation. I will be driving to my location and will have plenty of room in my vehicle, so I will be taking this pack as well as my higher end day pack to do a comparison test and will update if I find any failings. I will say that even before using it I think the price point should be knocked down to about $20 based on the size and quality of the components used and comparison with other packs of the same size.

I picked up this 15L hiking daypack for short weekend trips. The main advantage is definitely its storage space—it fits way more than expected for a small backpack, allowing me to pack all my basic essentials easily. However, my overall experence was mixed. The fabric material feels quite stiff and hard, which makes it less comfortable to wear against your back for long hours. Also, the zipper quality is disappointing. After just a few uses, the zipper started spliting open on its own. While it holds a lot, the durablity issues mean you have to be extra careful with it.

Excellent quality backpack with two large deep zippered storage pouches in the back and a mesh bag that attaches to the outside of the bag for wet items. The backpack has comfortable padded shoulder straps that can be cinched closer together with a chest strap to keep them from slipping off the shoulders. Each shoulder strap has a small pocket that close with a drawstring, but I find these pockets too small to carry either my water bottle or cellphone. Instead, I use the D ring and the leash to attach my cellphone to the backpack. The little pockets are useful for carrying my large backup battery while it is attached and charging my cellphone and small snacks such as a granola bar fit these pockets as well. Sizing: The shoulder straps fit my husband’s wide chest better than my narrower frame. I feel they are too far apart and tilt inward when I tighten the chest strap, but I do wear the chest strap to pull the shoulder straps in so they don’t rub against my arms. Capacity: There is a lot of storage capacity for my needs: a lightweight jacket and lunch, and large water bottle or hydration pack. There is a Velcro strap inside the large outer zippered pocket that can thread through my hydration pack’s handle and around the tube. Craftmanship: Excellent. The zippers open and closely smoothly and are durable. The seams are all well sewn without flaws. The ripstop nylon is lightweight, tough and durable. Value: At just under $30, this backpack is a great value. It is well made with a lot of storage capacity. My main issues are that the shoulder strap pouches are too small for even the smallest of my water bottles (I’d like to carry a small water bottle on the front of the backpack) and the straps seem better fitted for a larger chest. Overall, this is an excellent backpack with a lot of storage.

I have been really impressed with this hiking backpack. It is a great size for day hikes, biking, camping trips, or just carrying the essentials without having to bring a large bulky pack. Even though it is compact, there is a surprising amount of storage. The main compartment has plenty of organization for smaller items, and I really like having the additional front and side pockets. The hidden zippered pocket on the back is also a nice place to keep things like a wallet or keys a little more secure. One of my favorite features is the storage built into the shoulder straps. Having a dedicated spot for my phone makes it much easier to grab without taking the backpack off. The small pouch on the other strap is also handy for snacks or other items I want quick access to. The detachable outside pouch is another clever addition. It works well for keeping something wet or dirty separate from the rest of the contents, especially after hiking or being outdoors. When it is not needed, it can be folded away without adding much bulk. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the adjustable chest strap helps keep the backpack stable while walking or riding a bike. I also appreciate the whistle and compass built into the buckle as small extras for outdoor use. The material feels lightweight but durable, and the water resistant construction gives some extra protection if the weather changes unexpectedly. Overall, this is a well designed little daypack with much more organization than I expected for its size. It is lightweight, comfortable, and has several thoughtful features that make it very practical for outdoor activities and travel.
