To say I was impressed would honestly not be enough. I tried so hard to get good pictures but I just couldn't. The sparkle isn't so easily caught on camera therefore the picture falls flat. Additionally, the refraction messes with the focus of the camera. But in-person, woww! It is SO sparkly. I'm going to try and see if I can at least get a decent video. The one they have in the listing is not good at all. This necklace deserves better. I ordered this to wear as a necklace for whenever - a casual, everyday necklace. This thing sparkles so much, and the gems above it, too. The filigree around the moissanite is very lovely. The hearts make for the cutest touch. The chain itself is fine. Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done. As far as packaging - definitely A+. It came in a box, with a gift box, gift bag (not a chintzy one, either), blank card, polishing cloth, care instructions, and GRA certificate. This would be a solid 4-4.5 star item but for one thing: mystery meat stones on the bail. As is, we're looking at about 3.6 stars, which rounds to a 4 star rating on a whole number only scale. There is absolutely no discussion of the accent stones anywhere in the description as of the writing of this review. They reference 1ct of moissanite, and I've confirmed via the certificate that the main stone is a full carat. Given a one carat center, the total weight should be 1.12 or some other odd number (those stones are tiny). Upon testing, the main stone does indeed pass thermoconductive examination, and, in news that will at this point surprise exactly no one (at least not me), the accent stones didn't even move the needle. Not even a little. My suspicion is that they are cubic zirconia stones, but since the listing ain't saying, I can't even make that assertion. I will note that when a listing manages to give excruciating detail on everything from the packaging to the many occasions that you can give this as a gift (pretty sure you're competent to figure that part out for yourself, but they're trying to manipulate the search with that part), failing to mention an actual, physical, important part of the actual piece is, at least as far as I'm concerned, not an accident. Side note here - this listing is far from alone, and it happens a LOT on this platform. I personally look for one of two things: odd carat weight, which would indicate that the stones are all moissanite, or a disclosure that the accents are cz, which is a clear sign that nobody is trying to lead you down the garden path. Other than that, I've got no issues here. I got the 1ct stone, and it's lovely. I don't go much over a carat and a half in a stone for my own use because moissanite is downright boisterous with light and tends to read as a larger stone than it actually is. Just be aware if you're looking at a larger carat variation that it's going to have presence whether you want it to or not. These things have a mind of their own - in the best possible way, mind you, so if you're not looking for subtlety, more power to you and proceed as planned. If you're looking for less visual power, stick to smaller sizes. The pendant and chain (and the arm of the clasp , if you get out your mouse magnifying glass) are all stamped 925, and nothing sticks to a magnet other than the clasp itself, which is normal and expected because the inner spring there should be made of sterling. Other than the mystery meat, no complaints. With the mystery meat, $99 is a little on the high side for a single carat solitaire. ... show more
