  • No More Humming
Size: 6 Foot
I’ve only been using this cable for a couple of days, but the difference in build quality compared to a basic XLR cable is immediately noticeable. The cable itself feels substantial and durable without being overly stiff, and the connectors feel extremely solid. Everything fits securely with no loose connections or cheap feeling parts. I’m using it with a Shure SM7B and GoXLR, and so far the connection has been flawless with clean, consistent audio and no issues whatsoever. Obviously, an XLR cable isn’t the most exciting piece of equipment to review, it either works or it doesn’t. But this is one of those products where you can actually feel where the extra money went. The overall construction feels like something that’s going to hold up for years, especially compared to cheaper cables I’ve used in the past. It also routes nicely along my RØDE microphone arm and keeps my setup looking clean. It’s definitely more expensive than your average XLR cable, but considering it’s connecting two expensive pieces of audio equipment, I’m happy I spent a little more for something that feels this well made. So far, I’m extremely happy with it. ... show more

  • The Gold Standard for XLR Cables
Size: 6 Foot
After using Mogami cables, it’s hard to justify buying anything else. The build quality is outstanding, the connectors feel premium, and the cable itself is flexible while still feeling extremely durable. I’ve used this cable in a studio environment and have had zero issues with noise, interference, or reliability. It simply works every time, which is exactly what you want from a professional audio cable. The gold-contact connectors are solid, and the overall construction inspires confidence that it will last for years. There are certainly cheaper XLR cables available, but for critical recording applications I’d rather spend a little more on something I know I can trust. Mogami has earned its reputation for a reason. In my opinion, this is the gold standard for XLR cables, and I wouldn’t buy any other brand for my studio setup. ... show more

  • The build quality is second to none. Does reduce ground loop type noise.
Size: 25 Foot
UPDATE: I do notice an improved noise reduction in the hum/static. To be fair I ran old but brand new never used generic GC cable to my mic. It has a ground loop type of hum. Most likely a badly built wire, or high impedance. Either way it can be heard. I do not have my gain or other settings adjusted that high or loudly as my studio us 6ft wide, 8ft long, and 7.5ft tall a very small space for 8 speakers to be located with a large diameter tube mic. So things are turned down to match the space. Speakers are about 2.5ft from the mic. And, they are 3 per stack on the left and right wired in series bookshelf speakers with a woofer, midrange and tweeter. Gain needs to be low to avoid feedback. Then on the floor about 3.5 ft away are 2 12 inch subwoofers midrange and tweeters, left and right placement. My system is a mind blowing 35 watts per channel. Rotel mid level amp 35 watts x 4. The sound quality seems cleaner and more robust. I think this is more to do with the lack of background noise. Hard to say my voice sounds any nicer or better overall. But, not having that annoying ground loop like static is sure nice. The only little issue I had was the spring loaded clip lock mechanism would not engage my mic receptacle. I had to remove the rubber O ring and push the connector on. Once I did that I replaced the O ring and was able to connect and lock the cable to the mic. As for sound quality- subjective. However compared to the low end cables I own this cable stops the annoying fuzz or static sound I thought was from something else. I checked those things. They were fine. END OF UPDATE. Just got my first ever professional level XLR cable. I Originally wanted the 15 footer, but waited to long. So I got the 25 footer and even without using it yet this cable feels so much nicer than the GC specials I have been using. Looking at how it is constructed compared to my non pro cables.... Worlds apart in quality. It is like going from a Yugo to a custom just for you super sports car. Nothing feels loose. You know the typical XLR connections on low end cables. Not these. These are snug and everything works and moves as one piece. Excllent is not good enough to describe the build quality. Legendary build quality. Compared to anything I have ever seen. The cable is supple and very flexible. My low end wires are stiffer and really annoying sometimes to work with Value for your money - Build quality 100% worth every penny spent. I will update this review with the sound quality and value. From the tons of reviews I have read this will be a roll in the park. While my little productions are not pro level themselves, I wanted to slowly upgrade key pieces to get that pro sound quality. This was shipped quickly. The package was in perfect condition. The packing materials were perfect. No waste other than the retail plastic hang thing. Highly recommend this seller to everyone. Fair pricing and fast shipping. Thank you. ... show more

  • Expensive cable but worth the peace of mind if reliability is important to you.
Size: 50 Foot
Very high quality cables. They did the job. The length was longer than I needed but it’s ok. They are expensive but I couldn’t take chances with a cable of less quality. I am not in the music industry, I used these cable to make a long run in my home theater to relocate a high power amplifier closer to the main speakers. I also listen to music in my room and these cables provide a nice clean signal with no noise in my system. The connectors fit securely to the amplifier and preamplifier. The cables look and feel of high quality. I hope I don’t have any problems and have to redo the install but the cables do have a lifetime warranty so I’ll be covered. ... show more

  • Best XLR cable you can get!
Size: 6 Foot
Have been using this cable for about 6 years now with 0 issues. I’m glad I went with them initially, the investment has been fully worth it. No loss of flexibility, no malfunctions with plugging in or unplugging my microphone, absolutely no problems at all.

  • A good one
Size: 6 Foot
So I was a little skeptical to spend the money on these XLR cables. But, I am a ham radio operator and use a boom mic that has been in the station for several years. I started geting audio drop outs that I eventually traced to oxidization on the pins. Removing the old cables and re-inserting them helped for a while but then it came back. After several times I debated between a gallon of contact cleaner vs these cable and bit the bullet. They are very nice and they do have gold pins so that's a plus. They are also smaller and more flexible than the old cables so thats cool too. Whether that's worth it is up to you but I am happy with them and hope they will serve me for many years without issues. ... show more

This cable is an excellent choice for anyone who needs a high-quality, reliable XLR cable for their studio or live performances. It's incredibly well-made and designed to provide superior sound quality. One of the things I appreciate most about this cable is its build quality. It's made of high-quality materials and is designed to withstand the rigors of regular use without becoming damaged or deformed. • Worth it, if you care for the finest audio
Size: 2 Foot
This is certainly a high quality cable capable of delivering noise free signal between components. But it will matter only if you use high fidelity gear and care for the minutest improvement to your audio. I use it as an XLR interconnect between my Cambridge Audio NW player/DAC and Cambridge Audio Amp, and replaced a more generic cable I was previously using. When I replaced my older generic cable with the Mogami Gold, I did notice a subtle but pleasant improvement to the audio with certain notes coming through more clearly that before. To be sure I wasn't imagining I did a blind comparison with my daughter and she thought she heard an improvement in the sound as well. Now to be sure, the improvement is not radical, but if you are using a high end equipment, every small improvement in the sound chain adds up. Its like an athlete competing at the Olympics, where the high caliber gear won't transform your performance, but it could make for that 1/2 second improvement that could be the difference between winning a gold. Bottomline, go for it if you have an audiophile level gear and care for the minutest sound improvement. Otherwise your generic cable will do just fine. ... show more
