I bought this for a recent trip to San Francisco because I was unsure of the weather there. It looks like it would be heavy but it is a very light jacket and kept me warm enough in 40° to 50°. I have washed it several times in the washing machine but did air dry it. The fit is true to size.

I live in the desert so don’t have much use for heavy jackets, but sometimes I travel somewhere colder and need a good jacket without a lot of bulk. This fit the bill. I took it on a recent trip to Seattle and got away with only wearing this most of the day over a t-shirt. It does run a bit small, good thing it stretches or it wouldn’t close…and the zipper doesn’t stay put where I like it. I like to zip up and leave a few inches at the top because I am busty so I usually pull the zipper up about halfway over my chest so I have some breathing room. But if I breathe too deep, the zipper falls. My chief complaint, though, has to do with the fact that I was carrying a beige canvas bag with me on my trip and it has a huge blue smear on it from this jacket…which will not wash out, I already tried. My beige travel backpack is also tinged blue from wearing it over this jacket. Not happy about that. I am happy that it was lightweight and easy to pack and carry and I carried an extra super light windbreaker for an extra layer at times when this wasn’t quite enough. I do wish the sleeves had cuffs, my wrist kept getting cold when I was walking around with something in my hands like a coffee or my phone for picture taking, but I also appreciate that the sleeves were long enough…this is a common problem for me being a tall person. Overall I do like this jacket, so I would recommend it…just make sure to wash it first (maybe this is something people do…but I am not accustomed to washing jackets or coats before I wear them) and make sure you have something to keep your wrists warm.
