It does what it claims, it will fit the average holders out there. It almost looks like it is painted the chrome color it is (but it isn't painted). It is super shiny, but for under 2 bucks, your toilet paper will be properly supported, stay on the holder, and that is why you are buying it. I appreciate that Moen offers a cheap solution, I really do. For many, just anything that works, works. I got it as a stand-in for someone until they could hunt down a match for their more uniquely-colored holder. But if looks matter to you, and your holder is not shiny chrome, (it will stand out against real chrome), then get a real metal one. Otherwise, get it and be glad it is not ten bucks or more.     • the bar spins a bit-needs a washer/gasket

This item was returned because the bar that matches this specific model of post is just a tiny bit too loose and can spin. This means if your towel is not perfectly balanced, it will roll off the towel rack onto the floor. I could have fixed it with a washer or a piece of gasket cut to fit on each end, or a dab of Flex-seal where the bar seats, but I was really annoyed. If I purchase Moen, even if it's on sale, I expect I should not have to modify a brand new item in order to make it work. They did however look beautiful-the finish was perfect, & weight was good. I kind of wish I would have kept them, because they looked perfect- but at that point I was too aggravated due to a run of too many things that didn't work as described, from Amazon, AND this was name brand.
