This brand does not disappoint! This thing is attractive as can be. They have consistently clear instructions, high quality veneers, and everything was very well manufactured and and packed. Absolutely all parts were labeled so you weren’t guessing. I always make sure to have a ratcheting screwdriver or two on hand with assorted bits so you aren’t stuck using any Allen keys or standard screw drivers for any assemble yourself projects. This one is not an exception. I found a plastic mallet with a piece of cardboard to protect the surfaces helpful to tap down anything slow going. I also want to say I used one one my own hex nut/spanner type wrenches, but they included a little flat one for free. It’s incredibly sturdy and stable. Anyone that mentions any stability issues doesn’t have a level floor, which is more common that you think. If this happens you just have to find a way to deal with it… adding felt or rubber feet to the offending corner, a rubber floor protector, a small piece of shim. It’s also always a good idea to tighten everything au at the end. However, with this build, I’d tighten everything in the top box, then attach the base, and then tighten that up. That would prevent it from being wobbly as well. ... show more

I could not be happier with this bookshelf! It is exactly what I wanted. I have been looking for the perfect bookshelf for over a year, and though I had this one saved on my wishlist, I was hesitant about spending the money. I am so glad that I waited and saved for this one because it really exceeded my expectations. The size is perfect. It doesn't come out too far from the wall, so it easily tucks into the corner I was wanting to put it. You could tell the wood panels, as well as the hardware were high quality and sturdy. With the instructions, it was one of the easiest pieces of furniture I've put together (which is a lot). I can't recommend this bookshelf enough. It is worth every penny! ... show more

I bought two of these shelves with about three months in between purchasing them. I love them, however I can’t give them five stars. The first one was an easy five stars, but the second one had noticeable corners cut. It had exposed particle board on the back of the pieces (the first one did not), and the hardware was noticeably cheaper. If you aren’t guaranteed the same quality of product as my first piece was, I’d buy with caution. I own several other walnut wood pieces and they all seem to match almost identically. This piece is on the lighter side of the walnut spectrum, it seems just a shade or two lighter than all the rest of my walnut furniture pieces. I wouldn't call this a deal breaker but it does kind of urk me when I see it next to my walnut TV stand. I will get used to it eventually. Putting it together was simple enough, just follow the images and make sure you face the non laminated sides the way as instructed in the assembly images. It is very sturdy, held together by wooden dowels and metal locking dowels, the kind that you rotate a round metal locking piece with a screwdriver and it locks onto the metal dowel. The little quarter accent pieces, and the middle back piece are optional, if you're looking to just have open back cubes. All in all this thing is absolutely worth its price. A friend saw it and said it was cool, I told them it was only $175 ($190 after taxes). And they said, WOW FOR THAT BIG A$$ thing?! hahahaha I don't think you will regret buying this piece, unless you get some damaged parts and have to deal with that whole process. Luckily mine did not suffer any damages, despite arriving with a large dent/hole on the box. ... show more

I purchased some other furniture (can be seen in my review pics) that has the same finish as this book shelf. I needed a smaller book shelf to go with the other pieces. This has worked well as it is the same finish without it being too matchy. Check out the dimensions on this one. It’s smaller in person than it looks in pictures. That was a good thing for me as I didn’t have a lot of space. The directions were pretty easy to follow and all the pieces were numbered. It took me about 45 minutes to put together. It doesn’t look or feel like furniture one puts together in person. It is pretty solid and well made. The legs are also sturdy and don’t wobble at all. I’m very pleased with it. It’s about as good as laminated MDF gets. Thanks to Amazon for shipping it much faster than originally promised and without damage. ... show more
