Very nice, surprisingly warm

I like this blanket a lot, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but there are aspects that weren't exactly what we needed. Overall it looks nice... We got the navy blue and it's a very nice deep color. It feels soft on the inside... Meaning that the Loft and fluff of it is very soft. And the outer fabric is soft too, but it's a little bit nylon feeling almost like a sleeping bag but not quite that much. But when you rub your hand along it or pull it to cover up it does make a little bit of a noise, like a polyester sleeping bag would. Not quiet like a soft cotton quilt would be. It's not a real issue... But for me it was probably worth half a star. The other half a star that I took away was actually because it's a little warmer than I thought it would be. And I don't think that is due to the loft or the stuffing. I think it's due to the outer fabric. It feels to me like that fabric holds in my body heat. My spouse and I used this to replace a very thin cotton quilt. Now granted, we live in Florida. We like to keep the house kind of cool at night so we can be under a light blanket, because that's what's comfortable. And this blanket is just a little bit too warm for that. We used to live in Michigan. I think this blanket would be absolutely perfect for spring and fall in Michigan, and for an extra blanket or a couch blanket in the winter time. Obviously this isn't heavy enough to be your main winter blanket in a northern climate. It's probably going to be perfect when the weather hits the lowest colds in Florida this winter. But for right now it's just a bit too warm for us. We have not had occasion to wash it yet, but so far it looks fantastic, all the seams look great, and other than what I noted above we've been very happy with it. I paid $25 for it and certainly you could never go wrong with that. It may end up being an extra blanket for winter time, and that's just fine. Or in the future we may even use this as the interior batting for a quilt that we make, something with a cotton exterior so it doesn't have that little noise that I'm apparently neurotic about. :) ... show more

Excellent comforter
Super comfortable and warm. I bought as a Christmas gift last year for my daughter who wanted an elevated look to her bedroom. Almost a year later and it is still as nice as the day she opened it on Christmas morning.

Perfect, except for that dang dual Full/Queen size thing... please separate the sizes...

Typically I am a fluffy soft blanket type of gal and I am most definitely not a hot thick kill me heat type of gal. I need fans, ice packs and cooling blankets as it is to sleep at night. So I was pleasantly surprised that the description matched this comforter. It is actually the perfect fill, the perfect amount of warmth, not too hot, not cold, (not fluffy soft but I rectify that by having a soft fluffy throw blanket nearby - call me silly but, haters gonna hate), its not really a silk type material and I don't want to call it a microfiber, but it's still a soft almost silken type fabric, that helps keep the material cool at night. It doesn't seem to attract ungodly amounts of dog hair (I have 4 dogs and they all think they own the bed). and it washes nice n easy. My only drawback is that the sizing seems off - the size is supposed to be a "Full/Queen" now I hate it when companies do that - I realize there is like what a 1" difference I guess between the width, I know it's something small, but for some reason, the comforter just doesn't seem to want to cover the whole bed and stay in place. I mean it DOES cover the whole bed, BUT the flat sheets hang lower on the sides of the bed than the comforter does so when the bed's made it simply doesn't look right. (and it certainly doesn't hang like it does it in the photo - the comforter hangs about to the middle of the bottom row of squares on each side of the QUEEN size bed I have. - it doesn't take much in the middle of the night for my husband to roll over and whoops there goes the blanket with him and I'm left in a ball shivering, looking for one of my fuzzy blankets. If you were to change your sizes and actually make a QUEEN size comforter separate from the FULL size I would definitely be much happier. Having bought literally hundreds of items on amazon.com, this is the first review I've done. This product is a 5-star comforter, unbelievably low-priced, beautiful on both reversible colors, and the feel of the material is smooth and soft. Not heavy, it is perfect for a comfortable covering for a nap. Can't praise it enough. Liked it so much, we immediately bought a second one in different color. Tip: to remove the wrinkles when we unboxed it, we washed it in cold water and dried it. Wrinkles pretty much disappeared, making it even more attractive. ... show more
