    • Unique designed garage lights
These are very good quality designed and manufactured lights. They click together to form hexagons of around two feet in size. It is easily built from the well prepared installation instructions. One person can hang this up if you assemble and install by piece, however if it is completely built then it is better to use a helper. The tubes snap and click together rather easy and the joints are fairly rigid. You can lift the unit fully complete and it does flex, but does not break. Each connector has a mounting hole for your screws or for wire if hung up. Comes with a standard 120 plug or flying leads if wired directly into a receptacle box. They send an extra tube as a spare as well as several connectors (the Y type, not the two ways). My kit came with a bag of newer versions of the two way connectors. I had several of the original versions too to compare with. These newer versions assembled easier and had a better clicking action which also felt like a firmer grip. Interesting design and a good install sheet. Company seems to be very open to ideas or improvements which in my opinion is smart and involves their clientele. The lighting provided is easy on the eyes and does light up a big area. For a garage, the light provided may not be bright enough for some auto techs or for lighting up tough tucked away spots on a vehicle. For a home garage, then this would most likely increase the lighting already provided. Some friends garages only have one or two 100 watt bulbs on the ceiling...this would be a big improvement for them. The best thing I like about this light is that it is unique to anything out there. As a guy who has other guys drop by and visit, this is a way to flex your 'coolness'. My other way is home made jumper cables. Yup, I built those 2/0 sized flexible 30 foot jumper cables there. The Hermit sez, These are great ambiance lights for the Man Cave. They pair nicely with the neon signs on the walls. These are not really super bright like workshop lights. Assembly isn't difficult but you need to plan your installation VERY carefully, The hardest part is keeping your grid in a perfectly symetrical and even pattern. If you assemble a Hex 1/2 inch offset or a little bit crooked (they come as single-line light sticks, and they can flex in the joint and over thier lenght slightly) EVERY Hex attached after that will be crooked too, this is important if you plan to assemble multiple sets and get close to a wall. I recommend 3 people for installation, 2 people keeping the lights parallel and square, while the 3rd attaches them to the ceiling. I hope this was a little bit HeLpFuL to You !! ... show more
