Listen, if you're buying this shirt, you probably already know what you're getting—it's the classic, reliable, do-anything, Gildan Heavy Cotton tee, just scaled down for kids! And honestly, it lives up to its reputation. I bought a stack of these for a youth group project (think messy paint, tie-dye, and a lot of running around), and they were absolutely perfect. The Good Stuff: • Durability is Top-Notch: It’s called "Heavy Cotton" for a reason. This shirt holds up to a ton of abuse. We've washed them multiple times now, and they aren't falling apart, the seams are holding, and the collar isn't getting all floppy. • Holds Color (and Vinyl) Great: The colors were bright and consistent right out of the package. For our tie-dye project, the white took the dye beautifully. If you're using heat transfer vinyl or screen printing, this fabric is thick enough that you don't have to worry about the design bleeding through or the shirt puckering. • The Fit is a Classic: It's a standard, roomy, boxy cut. It's not trendy and slim, but that's exactly what you want for a kid's uniform, camp shirt, or just a play tee. They have plenty of room to move around. • Good Value: You simply can't beat the price for the quality you get. It’s an easy, low-cost essential. A Note on Sizing & Feel: • Sizing is True-to-Size (BUT): I found the youth sizes generally accurate for the age range (e.g., a Youth Small is a true small). However, they are 100% cotton, so they WILL shrink a little in the wash, especially if you throw them in the dryer on high heat. If your kid is borderline between two sizes, or if you plan to dry on high heat, I would highly recommend sizing up one size just to be safe. • The Feel: It's "heavy cotton," not "buttery soft." It's not scratchy by any means, but it's not a premium, super-soft tee either. It's comfortable, but its main feature is being tough and thick, not super plush. Overall: If you need a great blank canvas for a team, camp, art project, or just a dependable, everyday play shirt for your kid, the Gildan G5 is the workhorse you need. Just be mindful of that initial wash.

I purchased this specifically for my son to take to summer camp as they requested that he brought a lime colored t-shirt. I really didn’t need two t-shirts but decided on this purchase based on the reviews and thought the color was perfect & the price was decent. I purchased the medium size based on a couple of reviews that suggested to size down. Normally I purchase a large for my newly 10 year old who is 96 lbs & 4ft something. A large is always great for him with a bit of room to grow into without being too big and sloppy looking. The medium size was okay but if I had to purchase again, I would get his usual large size because it is 100% cotton so it did shrink a bit after laundered. Because of that, he won’t get too much wear before he grows out of it. The reason I gave three stars is because immediately after I washed & dried them, I noticed one of them had a pretty decent sized hole in the front. I guess I’m glad it came in a two pack after all!
