Features

  • Tool case engineered for users whose work requires they transport hand tools, power tools and other repair components to the worksite. Made of robust injection molded Copolymer Polypropylene, making it extremely durable and resistant to impact and rough usage, and water resistant.
  • Gray mobile tool chest is approximately 25% lighter and more practical in real-life use: it does not need to be turned or flipped to be open, drawers stay horizontal during transportation, fully opening drawers allow access to all contents, and drawers cannot accidently be pulled out of the tool chest.
  • The chests main compartment is covered by a locking and removable drop front door that provides unrestricted access to the drawers. Four silent and self-oiling wheels are mounted at the rear of the tool chest.
  • Fully serviced and warrantied in North-America by Gray Tools, a tool manufacturer and distributor since 1912.

  • Not water proof
Bought this box thinking it would be the answer to water in my tools when kept in the back of my pickup truck. First the box is smaller than I expected. Drawers don't slide like I expected. And most important to me, rain water still finds it's way into the tool drawers. The tool box is rugged and strong, but for the money spent, this thing should have been better built. ... show more

  • Water resistant, mobile, with drawers, so far so good!
Been looking for this for a while. Pelican make a similar kit, which looks great, but when you load it, the drawers all go sideways, so you have to have all your drawers and tools done with shadow boxes, or they'll get messed up every time. That's great if your tool set never changes, but mine does, so I need a bit of flexibility as to what tools are going in the kit on a daily basis. Plus, it gives you more room in there without the foam shadowbox. I actually got a different configuration than the one listed - three skinny drawers, one medium, and one large. The plastic it's made out of is not resin, so I think it will be a little less durable over time than the pelican, but who knows. So far it seems fairly tough and is definitely at or above the level of, say, Milwaukee Pack-outs. And, unlike the Milwaukee pack out - or any other big box system - this unit has DRAWERS! What does that mean: well, instead of having to shuffle cases in order to get at a tool, you just open the drawer. So nice!. It's water resistant, so you can leave it in the rain. And it locks, so it's safe from casual thieves. Anyway, I like it a lot! Everything functions as you would expect. The handle could be a little beefier, but it seems pretty good. Hope that helps! ... show more

  • Awkwardly small.
Love the build quality and functionality of this tool box. Everything ergonomically fits my expectations until trying to put my aviation maintenance tools in it. I like to shadow board vertically for optimized space, and everything “bigger” I want to stack vertically in the medium drawers are a few MM too tall for the medium drawer to close 😩. The things I want to lay flat in the small “thin” drawer are a little to tall on their sides (3/8 sockets, SnapOn on screw drivers etc etc).. the bigger things I want to shadow vertically in the “bigger drawer” end up leaving excess unused space on top. I go to order more small drawers (thin) to have more trays of tools laying flat and the small drawers are back ordered! 🤬 if this box could be 2” wider overall and 2” overall taller, I feel like it would be the best. Guess I gotta make it work for now. ... show more

  • Not yet
Wheeled toolbox manufacturers refuse to put decent wheels on these units. I want 6 inch rubber. Like on a hand truck.

  • Disappointed, lids are not easy to remove
I ordered two of these. Disappointed that I can't get the supposedly removable lid and covers to pop off, otherwise you are left with a hanging lid and front cover that could just get in the way while in use. Going to return them if I can't take the fold up covers off as easily as the video shows. It looks like there's a keyway to slide the hinges off, but I don't want to fuss with it if this is difficult and something I am going to use everyday, I don't want the hassle. I am a mechanic and used to removing and installing parts all day, and with these I just can't understand why they would not have engineered this so it is easier to do. I have enough problems at work to figure out, I don't need another project while at work to fuss with, especially with my toolboxes. ... show more

  • First hated,it now love it
When I first bought it I hated it for all the reasons others mentioned. Too small to be big, too big to be small. feels cheap. I actually gave it to my kid to keep her art supplies in. One day I was bored and needed and electrical maintenance dedicated box. So I took it back played with it. I realized its not a "tool box" but a "tool kit" box. Its not made to carry a ton of tools. It has the capacity of a medium size tool bag but better organized. If you get one you must get the top lid storage flap. Its acts as a second drawer almost. what really sold me was I dropped it off a 3 foot table fully loaded and it didnt break. I still like my snap on gmtk box better but this box definitly has its place. Also it took me months to figure out how to remove the front door flap. there is a set screw you have to remove the first time you use it. Time will tell if it holds up but im glad I gave it a second chance ... show more
