Description

Japanese language, English subtitles, all 52 episodes in standard definition, Region A disc. The wicked Doctor Giba and the monstrous forces of Biolon have silently infiltrated every aspect of human society. To what end? World domination, of course! Earth’s only hope is a clueless detective who’s always a no-show when it matters most. But in reality, this would-be bumbler is on a top secret mission: to put an end to Bio- lon’s dastardly schemes as the Mobile Cop Jiban! With the aid of a young girl and an entire fleet of computerized vehicles at his side, this next-generation robot detective is ready to take on anything the bad doctor can prescribe! Featuring rockin’ tunes from legendary composer Chumei Watanabe (Mazinger Z, Space Sheriff Gavan) and character designs by tokusatsu auteur Keita Amemiya (Zeiram, Kamen Rider ZO), the Metal Hero series rages on in this action-packed spectacular! This complete collection includes all 52 episodes of Jiban’s heavy metal crusade for justice—presented in standard definition with the original Japanese language and English subtitles!

  • A Hidden 1980s syfy Gem!
Pleasantly Surprised…Jiban! From what I see, this is a Japanese-Robocop show adapted for those under the age of 13. However, I see its more dark/and dramatic than most Sentai I’ve come across. Therefore, it is not necessarily for 5-6 year-olds but rather a 9 year old can take it all in. I preordered this and it came in August and after watching only 8 episodes, it swept me away! Why-because of these 3 elements; 1-Its of its time ‘1989 tech’ that is retro and cool if you were born L8r since I was born in 87. Computers, robots, and 1980s syfy goodness! 2-The songs are typical 80s gold rock tunes. 3-And the action/drama/storyline is top notch and reminiscent of a bygone era. Is this show for you? That depends if you can look past the outdated effects and technology. Then it's the thought that counts! ... show more
