Great furnace to work with. I only have minor complaints and none of them have anything to do with the furnace itself. Works as it should. #1 the honeycomb disc thing broke on the second use (I saw the reviews beforehand and attempted to not recreate that problem) and I have been using it and it's broke in 3 sections but I need something to sit on bottom of furnace and didn't want to buy another just for this to happen again. I even made sure to stick it in the oven the day before so there was no moisture present. It didn't get stuck to the cruicible don't really know why it broke. #2- the supplied cruicible lasted about 6-7 melts before it started to crack. I used it up until about 10 melts before it is unusable. I know it is an expendable item and needs to be replaced but I wouls think that it would make it further. Also another thing that I properly cured. #3- the top of the furnace is warped slightly from use. Not an issue and not causing any problems as of now but I am hoping it doesn't get worse. #4- I like that I can easily remove the burner from the furnace but I think that it may need to be changed. All the other companies that are more expensive have a way to address the amount of air that comes in and I do notice that when it is windy outside it certainly does affect it, also they do not give any extra kaolwool or whatever the insulation is called for the connection around the burner. I feel like this also may be a part of the wind problem. #5- you are supposed to prepare the kaolwool/insulation with a product prior to use. Which i did but it would've been nice for not only this being included but in the instructions. I again knew this prior and bought it separate beforehand. All of these aside which I don't see as a real big problem. There is no way of contacting company to see if there is some sort of warranty on any of these items. I also didn't want to return the furnace because it's a minor problem and I knew this was a possibility from the beginning.

This product worked perfectly. It was easy to set up and performed as promised. We smelted aluminum cans and made 7 aluminum bars. It was fun.

The media could not be loaded. This…is….GARBAGE….. I’ve had it burning for a hour and it won’t even melt a few cheap aluminum spoons and forks. As the video shows, they get hot, they bend, but there is zero melted metal. The crucible stuck to the honey comb firebrick so it was impossible to use the crucible holder. The holder itself was welded a little bit crooked so it always fell over. The honeycomb fire brick arrived in good condition but cracked inside the kiln. Don’t waste your money on this one.

I had previously been using an electric furnace to melt copper and brass mostly. What took me 12 hours to do with an electric furnace took me 20 minutes with this furnace. This thing is seriously sweet I mean it melts copper to liquid in 15 minutes. No complaints. It was really easy to set up and without reading instructions at that. Love it.

Finally an affordable foundry that works! I want to write to give this a 10/10 because it's perfect for my purposes of softer metals like aluminum, copper, silver, and a little bit of gold. I have not tried this on metals such as tungsten but for what I've done so far it's perfect.
