I had the Mizuno ST230Z and liked it but not the open face at address. The Max is neutral at address and is hotter off the face. Makes quite a crack sound which I like. Inspires confidence. The price here was more than fair and the Lin Q Red shaft is mid high ball flight which is perfect. If you want a low ball flight the Tensei Blue is the what you want. ... show more

I was looking for an upgrade to my 18 year old Cleveland Driver and was pretty excited about this purchase. After playing a couple of rounds I was beginning to wonder if the club might be a fake (I've checked and it isn't!) as it makes a strange sound off the tee and I was getting less overall distance - it seems very light in terms of weight. I fully accept that it could be my golf that that's the problem (20 handicap) so the rating is purely based on my experience.     • Top notch driver
First of all I was fitted for this driver, or rather the driver that I somehow managed to lose somewhere. So I already knew what I needed. This was pretty much set up as I needed, just a regrip to a larger grip. I used to hit my last driver (Callaway Mavrik) about 270. This one is between 280-300.

My STX Max is less than a season old and well taken care of. Today I hit a drive and my club head started to rattle. Contact with the seller, Amazon, and Manufacturer have produced nothing. No help. Unacceptable

    • Did it make me better at golf?
No...but it seems like a good driver. I don't really know and I won't pretend to be knowledgeable on GOLF to be honest, but it feels and looks of good quality.
