This product is a great set for a beginner who wants to attempt making more advanced cocktails. The items are good enough quality and it comes with a recipe card to walk you through making some common drinks. I took a star off simply because I'm comparing this to products I use daily at my job, and they just don't seem like it'll last too long. The shaker seems very thin, and that's a product you're going to be rough with. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised over time. I like mixed drinks, so when I saw this set I just had to have it. I like to think of myself as a amateur bartender or at least at home. This set had everything to keep this fantasy alive. It also included a booklet for recipes for mixed drinks.

I needed a muddler for my summer drinks and a cobbler shaker and when I started researching them separately this came up and it was less expensive than buying those two pieces a la carte. So, it is priced great, but how's the quality? Surprisingly, everything was better than I expected. - The cobbler has a strainer included and is a generous 24 oz plus it is dishwasher safe. - Shot glass is 1/2 and 1 oz, nothing special but does have the cool Bare Barrel logo on it - The wine opener is better than I expected. The cork remover is rather thicker than most and I liked the serrated knife to remove the foil. - Bottle stoppers are ok, not really heavy but do include a rubber seal - Pourers are just ok - Ice tongues are the weakest component in the whole package. Thin and lightweight. - Hawthorne strainer is also thin, but effective - Bamboo rack is well made and includes rubber feet so it doesn't slide over your bar top, includes the logo as well. - Muddler is of nice quality, feels good in your hand, and doesn't feel cheap. Overall, I am very happy with the whole package and the two items I really needed are of good quality. So, whether you need a starter bar set or are looking for a gift for a spirit lover on your list, this would be a good choice. I would be proud to offer this as a gift. ... show more

    • Great starter kit for cocktails
I typically make well drinks on the weekends and decided it would be fun to add some more complexity to my drinks. This cocktail shaker set is great, it includes everything you need to get started. I like how it comes with an organizer to keep all the components in place, makes it easy for storage. The shaker itself and tools are well made, it even comes with a rust warranty for piece of mind. I'm not very creative when it comes to cocktails so it was nice to see a recipe booklet was included to help me get started. I created a couple different drinks that came out great, something about shaking a drink with ice makes it taste way better than my typical pour alcohol then top with soda type drinks. I feel like I'll be using this kit at social gatherings time, to make some interesting drinks for friends. In addition to this kit I recommend picking up some large cube ice trays or maybe even a torch lighter to make some smoky flavored drinks.
