    • MIVSN T700-2H. Looks Awesome AND it Works!
Let me be clear; I know my way around serious Microphones so at $40 I'm keeping an open mind. First of all, it really does look superb. Let's get that out of the way. It'll draw a few 'Gee-Whizz' gasps in your Zoom meetings. Now the real stuff; the sound is very 'Bright', the kind of over emphasised Top that I expect from a small electret but in this case not rough and unpleasant. Any deep bass is absent but it's good enough for speech so I'll award a high mark for being better than many of it's peers. Self noise was not noticable (room atmos was louder) and I heard no Distortion or Artifacts at normal voice level. The Capsule is Cardioid and rejects higher frequencies reasonably well, low frequencies understandably less so. The sound gets very ragged if you move away Off-Axis but that's no surprise. 'Pop' resistance is above average I'd say. The Angle-Poise Arm is the same as hundreds you'll see around here; a bit flimsy so handle with care. It will support this Mic though. The shock-mount is metal and pretty sturdy. It fits this mic and does it's job. Have to mention the little earphones. Not at all 'Bargain Basement' quality. Comfortable (for me), sound fine and look stylish. Even have their own little case with extra tips. (Awwww) Now the Secret Weapon! The 'Sound Card'. This does a lot more than I thought it would. It's powered by and feeds Digital Audio to and from a USB port on your computer. This Mic uses the supplied XLR to 3.5mm jack cable to connect to the 'Mic 3' input which carries 'Computer-Style' 5volt power. It can also handle 2x 1/4" jacks from Dynamic Mics, a 3.5mm 'instrument' jack and a 3.5mm Line-In (whoops, meant to check if that was really Stereo, sorry). It has two Audio Outputs for a Headset and Earphones and, of course, digital output via the USB. It has three Monitoring Modes to let you hear 1) Playback/the chat from others, 2) Playback/chat plus your own voice with no latency, good for Zoom etc. 3) Playback/chat plus your own voice with Reverb (seriously?). On top of all that you get to tweak the 'Bass' and 'Treble' of the mic too. This is a great little toy for my toolkit! I gave this Microphone Kit a full five stars because at this price it does what it says on the packet and more. Did I mention, it looks AWSOME! (so shiny). Overall I'd rank this as excellent value and very versatile if you want to improve your on-line chat and podcasting from Web-Cam Mics. Or even if you want to go Nuts on your private Karaoke! P.S. If you go beyond this point I take no responsibilty. Further actions are at your own risk. Although it makes no mention of this anywhere here, I've seen the Mic advertised elsewhere as a stand-alone Condenser. Therefore I decided to try the the mic plugged directly into (Proper) 48Volt Phantom Power, XLR to XLR. Surprise! It worked like a charm and if anything, sounded a bit better. Of course there's no Bells and Whistles from the Sound Card in this mode but there's plenty of that on my Board. One of the most frequent cries I hear is that having committed to an expensive USB mic they can't upgrade to a board and multiple mics. Like I said though, do this at your own risk. ... show more

Purchased this bundle as a "podcast starter" kit. Been a few months, not disappointed at all. Comes with everything listed on the seller's page. The mic is aesthetically pleasing and works excellent. I swapped the bundled usb cord for a 6.5mm analog cord, for a bit more oomph. The mixer was plug and play and worked seamlessly with the Surface Pro 6. Has multiple inputs to connect different devices. The mic is heavy and the arm stand feels a bit light. I would suggest you tighten it as much as you can. It came loose a few times. The earbud are generic quality, so don't expect studio quality feedback. I purchased a separate studio headset. Otherwise I would recommend for anyone considering starting a podcast on a budget. ... show more
