Finally, after many tries with other bed pillows, here's one that is shaped in a way that really does make ergonomic sense. It looks a bit odd, but the shape cradles and supports your head and neck in great comfort. Not too soft, not too firm, just right. I bought one for myself and I use both sides but for different purposes. For me, the slightly lower side is best for sleeping. The other side offers the best shoulder support for lying on my side and looking at my phone (something that would hurt my shoulders before I started using this pillow). When my husband tried this pillow, he wanted one, too. So we got a second one. He has chronic pain issues and he says it is the best pillow he has ever had for getting a good night's sleep. So then we got a third one, and it works well for watching tv lying down. We didn't notice any chemical odor with any of the three pillows. To be on the safe side, we removed the zippered cover and laundered it before using. We also aired out each of the bare pillow forms for a couple of days before using. We added a zippered allergy-protection cover over the regular washable cover that comes with the pillow, and then a regular standard pillow case over that. Works fine. Be aware that one of the three pillows we bought is slightly softer than the others. It actually works better for my husband than the one that's slightly firmer. We don't know whether this difference is a deliberate change by the company or an inconsistency in manufacturing. Also, be aware that this pillow does NOT work for stomach sleeping because it lifts your face too high and the contours that work so well for sleeping on your back or side get in the way of easy breathing if you are on your stomach. For comfortable stomach sleeping I have found that I need a nearly flat pillow with a slight hourglass shape (this shape provides an indentation for your nose for easier breathing so you don't keep "fighting" with your pillow). I gave up after trying some pillows that were designed for stomach sleepers and I just converted one of them by cutting it into an hourglass shape myself. The result is a relatively small pillow that I made just wide enough for full head support. When I use this pillow, I can flip easily from one side to the other without needing to move to the other end of the pillow. This makes it so much easier to change positions during the night. ... show more

I am a massage therapist who struggles with muscle tension especially through my neck and shoulders. This pillow was suggested by my boyfriend and did not disappoint. It is a quality pillow and has been better than the 200 dollar temperpedic pillow I have purchased in the past. I had tried various other pillows like the “my pillow” and this one beat them all.     • Great pillow if you have the perfect position

So, this pillow is really good. However, you have to basically be positioned perfectly to use it. If you only roll from side to side when you sleep, then get it. I move a lot apparently and if you roll to your back you have to turn the pillow a full 180 degrees to get the right side for back sleeping. Then, if you roll back to your side, flip it 180 degrees again. If you sleep with a partner and like to cuddle or spoon, there is no way to do that with this pillow, unless you share the pillow. It is comfy, but I just move too much for it. It is very firm and might relax a little over time but it has not relaxed much since I bought it a couple months ago. I now have new aches and pains in my neck that I didn’t have before. Also, if you ever sleep on your stomach there is no way to comfortably use this pillow. I do roll onto my stomach at times and this does not work for that. I have since moved on to another pillow…still looking for my perfect pillow. ... show more

    • Comfortable but Doesn't Relieve Neck Pain

This is a really comfortable pillow and I don't feel sweaty on it at night, but it has actually made my neck pain worse. If I didn't have neck pain, I would like the pillow.

I love this product so much I bought it for my best friend and husband too. We stayed in an airbnb last weekend, and I forgot it at home- I'll never make that mistake again! Pillow stays cool, is not too firm or soft, maintains its supportive shape great. We love them.

    • We Each Wanted One, And Both Find Them Very Comfortable
But just as people are different so are the results and approval of this and other pillows. My wife wanted it to support her neck for side sleeping and I wanted it to ease pain in my shoulders also when side sleeping. It does indeed help her with her neck pains and she finds it very comfortable and supportive as she sleeps on her side. This was going to be my last pillow as I have bought many to ease the pain in my shoulders when sleeping on my side with shoulder bursitis. I didn't work for me to do that and my shoulders hurt just as much using this pillow as much as any I have tried. SO I have resigned myself as a back sleeper and find this pillow very comfortable and supportive of my head and neck. Back sleeping is better for my scoliosis but worse on my sleep apnea so I will take the comfort and support this pillow gives while I sleep on my back and make adjustments as needed to my CPAP to take care of that issue. So my wife is happy with the pillow for side sleeping and I for back sleeping and I feel the failure of it helping my shoulders for side sleeping is my shoulder issues and not the pillow. The pillow is as I said very comfortable and supportive. It has a bit of a smell the first few days but it goes away and we didn't find it that bad to begin with. ... show more
