They are thicker than a previous pair I bought, which were really thin. These shoes have an elastic strap to tighten them so they’ll stay on and not slip around on your feet. I got these water shoes for kayaking. They are very comfortable, but they are at least 1, if not 2 sizes too long. My toes are about an inch from the end of the shoe. I wear an 8.5 in most shoes (in running shoes, I usually buy a size 9, depending on the brand). I'm not going to send them back because they don't look like clown shoes, and because of the tightening cords, they don't flop up and down on my feet. I guess I would recommend going a full size lower if you want an accurate fit.

Love these shoes. This was a replacement for earlier version. What I did not like was the pull on tab on the top middle. It rubbed the too of my foot and was really annoying and uncomfortable after being wet. Easy solution, I removed and now they are perfect. I have the slip ons, not the lace up.

These water shoes are fairly comfortable though the insole felt a bit rough because of the waffle-y drainage system of the shoe. They have held up in the water so far, though I haven’t used them very much yet. I bought a pair that was snug on purpose to prevent losing the shoes in muddy/murky water and because the next size up has a collar that was uncomfortable on my heels, just because of its size. I was concerned that my toenails might wear through the toecap, but they have held up so far.

The only problem I had with these is the stitching was really scratch on the back of my foot. I got a fingernail file and filed the stitching down and they are perfect!
