I needed new laces for my shoes after Lefty (that's the name of my left shoe - Lefty), so anyway, Lefty had broken a lace and I needed a pair of replacement laces because it's just plain silly to only replace one since they wouldn't match and also Lefty might feel bad about being the only one with a shiny new lace, so anyway, I decided to look on Amazon because that's the place where I buy things (it's just so gosh darn convenient, you know?), so anyway, I looked and looked, all the while Lefty kept looking up at me with those sad eyelets and I just felt terrible, so anyway, I finally found these ones because they were the right color and the right length and I placed the order and Amazon zoomed them right out to me so fast and me and Lefty were so excited (he's pretty excitable), so anyway, the laces arrived at my doorstep and I tore open the package, picked up Lefty, and laced up the new laces just the way he likes them and both the color and the length were perfect and Lefty was so, so happy (Righty was happy, too, but this story is about Lefty). So in summation, these are the best shoelaces I've ever bought.

I had braided round boot laces that always came untied. I ended up for to double-knot them each time I put them on to prevent untying. When one finally broke, I decided to buy flat laces which have worked for me in the past. These new laces stay tied with only one knot. They're cotton, so they might not last as long as the synthetic round laces before this, but I'll trade that off for the convenience of only one knot.

One of these flat waxed 36" cotton shoelaces frayed and broke after only 2 months of use in outdoor work shoes. There was no noticeable roughness of the eyelets, and the previous round shoelaces had lasted a year. Not a good value for the money. On the positive side, these flat shoelaces looked good, had just the right amount of stretchiness, fit the shoe, were soft and comfortable, were easy to tie, and stayed tied. Perhaps they could have used a little more wax to reduce fraying. Next time, I'll buy shoelaces made of tougher (synthetic) material.

I just got the Miscly Flat Shoelaces, and I must say, they're impressive, especially for the price. The size chart they provide was spot-on, which made selecting the right size a breeze, and the color was accurate. If you're on a budget and need reliable shoelaces, these are definitely worth considering.
